Thanks. I wish you are right. May 16 was my son's second birthday. I really miss him. It's more than 8months I left him. I am just thinking about the time of my husband's background check. If it takes too long may be I separate my son's application so that he can come here as early as possible. I always pray to Allah so that no body goes through the critical situation like me in life.

By the way Amy, If you are a Canadian Citizen and your Son born after you are being a Canadian Citizen By Law your son is a Canadian Citizen and it should not take longer than 8 Months all together. Have you sent them a DNA report. Mostly if you did not send that report they might gonna ask for it later and waste more time due to verification.

So you eCAS still not showing "in process" ?? dont count the November , count the time when your file was transfered to singapore

By the way Amy, If you are a Canadian Citizen and your Son born after you are being a Canadian Citizen By Law your son is a Canadian Citizen and it should not take longer than 8 Months all together. Have you sent them a DNA report. Mostly if you did not send that report they might gonna ask for it later and waste more time due to verification.

Thanks for your advice. I am not a Canadian citizen That's why I can not leave Canada within this processing time. I wish they will not ask for DNA test. I never thought about it. Whatever it is, I just want to know what is the condition right now. If they ask for DNA test, I will prefer to leave Canada and permanently move to Bangladesh.

In my case My file transfered to Singapore on January 4, 2012 and they started processing on April 10, 2012. So it's three months 6days. So don't worry. You still have time... Inshallah all of us will hear some good news soon..

Thanks for your concern. I sponsored my spouse and dependent child. Got sponsorship approval January 4, 2012. My ecas changed to In Process on April 10, 2012. I don't think Singapore has any doubt about my relationship as I know my husband for the last 17 years and we were married since 2005. We have a daughter who is a Permanent resident. When I applied for PR my husband was a non accompanying spouse as he was in Bangladesh Navy. My son was born in Bangladesh so he is not a PR.
I am worried about the extensive background check for the ex military person. If my husband doesn't need it, in that case it will not take more time. I think no one can help me except Allah. I can only wait for any decission from singapore. I already applied for my CAIPS and will send an email to Singapore on Monday to know the status of my applicaion. I wish they will answer my email.

Hi,
Are you a sponsor or a Principal applicant? If you log in with the sponsor's information you will see there are two parts.
Status of your sponsorship application: I think it is decission made.
Status of permanent resident application: I think this part is saying 'Application received..october 2011" if I am right. Singapore does not update the ecas frequently. I also sent an email to Singapore on March 30, 2012 to know the status of my application. They replied me " Your file is still in process''. After two weeks I got an update in my ecas. The status changed from application received to In Process. It says' We started processing from April 10, 2012."
So don't worry. You will get an update very soon.

My wife's eCAS status for permanent residency says Decision Made since May 15, 2012 but till date we did not hear from SVO about when they ate going to send the passport to my wife. Anybody have any idea? Please advice...
