are you sure that once CIC received the IELTS and I dont need to take another one if even when they have not started reviewing my application?
I think you can check the threads about ielts validity after application submission in this site; some also raised same questions as yours.

Any MR this week?

Is it written in cic website that paper based applicants should not do upfront MR ? i have written to sgvo i am planning for upfront medicals they with my reason they mentioned its upto applicants choice but they warned me that its risky as the medicas might expire before i land in canada due to delays in processing.
ANY NEWS.

Hi

FYI. I wrote to SGVO yesterday about the upfront medical (whether we can do it and how should we notify). They replied that the application now is queued for review and will advise about the next course of action. They said that they will not provide any further information and asked to wait. Not sure whether this is a standard default response.

I am a Jan17 paper based SINP applicant, got FT mail in May17.

I think this is standard reply.
I also asked the same thing in early October.
They did not answer my questions directly. I also asked about upfront medical, payment of RFPR, etc.
They only mentioned that my application is pending for review by an officer.
Similar to what I received when my file was transferred in SGVO in May 2017.

I just talked to someone from the Philippines...under SINP.
He got his nomination in Jan 2017, submitted the PR application after.
His medical was done in Sept 2017, background check done.
Just waiting for PPR.

Although I'm from MPNP, I really find SGVO so slow.
I think our application is somehow on hold.
I dont think that MR request would require more than 6 months after file transfer unless there is a "hold order" internally.

My only hope is that when next year's quota refreshes, our application would be the first in the list.

Philippines, London seems very fast. SGVO, NDVO seems very slow.

The only difference that I have noticed from previous response is "queued for review". Previously it was "pending for review". Don't know whether it makes any difference.

Nothing Yet and this Sucks.. The wait has been long, too long.
Thats y people want to move towards Australia !!!

Chances are better there.

I m now in aus on work visa. havent got any update yet !!!
planing to update canada on the exit from previouus company & coming to new one. this may make my file processing more slower

Mine was consistent on "pending for review"....this is both my their email last May 2017 and October 2017.
So perhaps there's no difference.

I agree with you. SGVO is quite slow. But there is a time early this year they took only three weeks from my medical to PPR.

The reason for this slow is that a few countries are under them. Like Malaysia,Vietnam Bangladesh etc. So they need sometime to review.

Yes, I also think quota for this year is closed and now I only hope for early next year.
Even now my gcms note nearly 60 days but no news.

could you share us about the time of your each step?

my timeline: MPNP
Aug 2017: AOR
Sept 2017: FT to SVO
up to this date no MR

How do we know if we received MR through email only?
