She filed her application for Permanent Resident last January 2012, then last month, Sep.2013 the SG VO email her that her application was transferred to Australia VO because, the SG VO cannot process her application, and with in 6 months or less she willhear from the.

Hello! I am working in Thailand too, and I chose SVO thinking it was a good idea. Now, It's been 14 months since I received my AOR and nothing more from their end...CIC website said it's 23 months processing...I should have chosen Mla VO :( :(

Hi to all,

Does anybody knows on how to request or choose a VO? I am working in Thailand and I want to choose Manila as my VO. Please advise.Thank you very much seniors.

Hi serendipity,

You requested it?Am sorry for that. I did not submit yet my application but I did research in this forum few months ago and I got advise from this thread never to choose SG VO. Someone said also that some applicants managed to transfer their VO to Manila and I haven't read yet in other threads how they managed to transfer. That's what am afraid of if CIC will assign my application to SG but I will choose Manila as my VO becuase they said it depends to the VO assign for me.
Are you working in Thailand now? Please would you share how did you get the Police certificate,I went there last Monday but they won't allow me because i don't have a request letter from CIC.

Hope to hear from you.

Goring>> u have to wait for your request letter from sgvo? if your timeline is the same as ours, you prob wont hear from sgvo until after 25-30months?

let's keep our hopes high! hopefully we can hear from taivoi next.....

ffarin should be overjoyed and out celebrating....haha.....ffarin have u ever requested for the GCMS notes?

@kaisin,

Thanks for your reply.Much appreciated.

Thanks Forza, boggz, nusrat, taivoi, kaisin and tutut.
It came after a long wait. Feeling kinda relieve but angry at sgvo for such delay! I received all my correspondences by postal mail.
@kaisin I'm from Bangladesh and destination is Saskatchewan! I requested GCMS note 4 times in total and one CSI in February but reply was standard

I see. But that is quite strange. Documents should be forwarded to your country of origin or your country of residence. On the other hand, Australia VO is far better than SGVO coz the processing there is only 11 months. :)

I read somewhere that Singapore VO gets overloaded and they ask Australian VO for assistance but for skilled workers. Australian VO now process PNP for Singapore VO would be a good news. Hopefully some of us will get this transferred ! Keep ur fingers crossed guys!!!

Hi CRS how are you doing? How's your new life going on? nice to see that you visting us!
I and taivoi submitted our apps pretty much same time as you did and see you landed in Canada almost 1 year ago and here we are still waiting!!! I don't understand this cic's procedure/game!!!
First of all, Tons of congrats for your PPR. Can't express how much I get overwhelmed when people from this thread receive good news. You know, I still visit this thread only to see what's happening for you guys. I got great mental supports from you all during my frustrating wait period for visa. I won't forget that. Nyway, I am working now. Have 2 jobs. both are part-time job. (1 is desired, other is not ;)) Initially, struggled for 3 months without jobs. Once I was hired, I started to realise why Canadian employers don't want to hire new people. Its different work environment and culture here. Takes time for new immigrants as well as employers to be in a smooth working relation. But don't worry guys, everything is fine as time passes. Even I saw many new people started working very next day they arrived. However, in long term, skilled workers like us should have plans for school to have a good career. Without a Canadian Certificate you will find something missing!

Wrote so much. All the best for upcoming visa. As well, well-wish for Quinny, Taivoi, Kaisin,Nusrat and all Singapore applicants.
