Hi Folks

I am seeking your help on the following as I want to apply for the Super Visa for my parent.

1. Do I need to send passport (parents) at the time of initial application?
2. Should I have to pay in VAC or I will have to pay through Bank Draft/Online?
3. For Super Visa, does it require to show my father's bank balance? if yes, how much you think will be good?

Hey Everyone,

Just giving you all an update,

Wife has landed in Toronto on May 1! We are still a bit jetlagged from our trip to Japan. Landing interview was super brief for her, literally a few minutes and the officer was filling out some paperwork.

I'm still updating my sidebar here with the relevant dates, just to help future members as well. I think they should be processing faster given the changes from December 2016.

I'll still be around on the forums helping out members but I can definitely say it's been a huge sigh of relief when she finally passed customs.

Re: certificate of Criminal Records.

We got an email ffrom SIN office asked for Certificates of Criminal Records. They did not say anything about how to send these documents back to them. Is it by courier or by Webform?

Finally some progress. 2 days after e-mailing them they requested my wife re-do her medicals.

She called IOM in HCM city and they said earliest they can do med cert for Canada is June 2nd.

Don't know if this near the end as they didn't ask for passport. Trying to find out how to do limited validity passport for my 1 month old son just in case they request passport. My 2 year old daughter has her Canadian passport when we received her proof of Canadian citizenship certificate 5 months after we applied.

Some excitement hope this doesn't drag out any longer. I just flew back to Canada couple days after spending a year in Vietnam with my wife. Was going to sell our house but if her passport request comes soon might not have to sell it afterall.

oh just realized they didn't ask to re-do police certificate that is over 1 years old. worried now.

My wife did her medical last week Monday.
Got decision made on my wife's side of permanent residency. Things are moving rather quick. She had no interview hope this is positive decision made. Been almost 15 month wait.

Hello everyone! My first post! Our journey is a long one.

2013, We submitted our application in.
We were married and had a baby at that time.

2014, they requested a DNA test for our child and we passed.

2015, they wanted to interview my wife and she failed.

2016, we appealed and won without having to go to court because the immigration officer said that it was obvious we were genuine.

2017, got medicals and had passport requested.

I am wondering, how long will they take to send back the passport? The Visa office in Hanoi has given us a tracking number and they said that they have forwarded the processed visa to Singapore a week ago. Is this a gauranteed approval now as long as she does not have any criminal records etc.?

anyone has any idea how long it takes to get the interview dates from SVO .. my file was transffered but its pending for interview .. wanted to have an idea about which file are being proccessed in singapore vo currently .. is there any way to know that how long will it take for the interview date ..

Usually a few months. I had a request for an interview and it took About 5 months. You will not know until they send you a letter.

from what I've read on the facebook group seems average wait time is 4 weeks and quickest was 2 weeks. They told my wife it will be 45 days and they'll call her to pick it up. I told her we can track her passport online and when it comes in we'll go pick it up.
