I don't remember where I got the 80,000 backlogged so I hope it's not true. But I also read somewhere the quota this year was 60,000 and last year was 48,000 and they mentioned 80,000 backlogged applictions.

Here's the article I was referring to how they processed the backlogs. It also mentions their goal is to reduce processing further to 6 months and they've injected $20 million to make the process faster.

Hello again,

So sorry to be asking too much questions. I obtained my coc from Singapore but I'm not sure how i'll send it to SVO. The request letter has the sender's address as the PO BOX mailing address of Canada Immigration. But I'm thinking if I could avail of the vfs global (cvac) services to send the police clearance/coc to SVO so I can track it (although there was no instuction in the request letter to do this).

So, based on your experience, did you send it to PO BOX mailing address? Or via vfs global (cvac)? Thanks in advance.

Just to share my experience, though my papers was processed in manila...

I sent a scanned copy of Singapore police clearance via email... then I courrier the original copy.
When I checked my notes no indication they received the one I courrier... So seems like they based on the scanned copy. Make sure you send via email too and just tell them original copy is on the way. So just to make sure they received the doc in whatevwr form .And yes I courrier it to the address indicated in the request letter :)

Thank yooooou, Lala! Really appreciate your reply. But I'm not sure which email to use to send the scanned copy to. Do you remember po how long your status changed to DM after you submitted your COC? Thanks in advance. :-*

Picked up visa and COPR with my wife at VFS Jakarta the other day. Plan to land towards the end of January.

One strange thing, Condition 51 is nowhere to be found on the COPR and my wife and I were only married 3 months when we applied and don't have any children together. Others have said it's because it's being repealed but htquach had his wife's visa issued the same day with the condition.. slightly confused

Condition 51 stipulates that the applicant must live together with the spouse in a marriage like relationship for a period of 2 years from the day they become a PR. It is given when you have been common law together or been married for less than 2 years and have no children together at the time you apply.

So the Ecas now says this:

Where is this application? Details

Application/profile status Closed

Review of eligibility Passed

Review of medical results Passed

Review of submitted documents We need an additional document from the applicant

Scheduling an interview

A background check is needed Complete

Final decision This application has been approved

When I check the tracking it still says this application is being processed in Singapore. Am I to assume they have not actually affixed the visa into the passports yet and sent them back to Bangkok. Once they do send them back to VFS in Babgkok what will the tracking site say?

Thanks

Ok, thanks. I was hoping it would come back before Christmas as we wanted to travel in Asia around that time....oh well.
