I just checked and my wife's app is closed but final decision says approved.

Congrats man! Submitted my passport as well on 18 Nov so really hoping it's just an oversight on their part! When I click on final decision, it does say they have made their final decision and they'll let me know via email if it's approved or declined so this is a bit harrowing!

Are you able to track via the VFS website? I believe the tracking status would have changed to "this application is being processed at the Canada visa office, singapore" once it has reached SVO. Otherwise it would be something like "visa application has been forwarded to CVO, SG"

So from what i've seen, the final decision flips to approved when they actually put the visa in the passport. I'm only assuming this because we got that same status update as ImABule on the same day the visa was stated as issued on my husband's passport.

CDNinHH, i don't think that would mean they havent received the passportss yet. Use the tracking number. My husband had signed up for SMS text alerts(paid extra) but didnt get a text, we just use the tracking number and knew that it was ready for collection.

We also paid extra for the sms updates and we got one when they sent the passport but we didn't get one when it got to SVO, we got an email instead. We use the VFS Indonesia page to track it. It still says it under process at SVO.

yeah, he just got the one text when it was sent and that was it. only RM6 though so not a huge loss.

His passport was dropped off in KL at the end of the work day on the 16th, and we received it back on the 28th, visa is stamped as being issued on the 18th!

Yes, the tracking number shows the passports are in SVO, I think as ames suggests the status will not change until they actually process the passports.
