I checked Expedia as well and from KL to Ottawa was 670 USD and from Jakarta to Ottawa was 1212 USD. I can't wrap my head around why it's double from Jakarta. A flight from Jakarta to KL is like 50 bucks lol.

Yup in ottawa! And I know. When I was home in July for our wedding the flights were less then 20Cad vs 200cad (booking online) I find that flights like malindo air don't show up on those search ones


Buonqua thanks for the advice! I have the first class visa too but I think I'll go check with a travel agent first before booking cos it may just work out to be cheaper.

I fly only EVA and usually book expedia through TD because I have TD first class visa.

The few times I booked through travel agent they actually got me a far cheaper price. I double checked the flight with Expedia and the flight doesn't even show up on Expedia until couple weeks later. Don't know how these travel agents do it but just an alternative if you're looking for cheaper flights.

I don't trust travel agent in Indonesia lol. I don't really care what airline it is. The price is most important to me. My other dilemma is I already have a return flight booked from when I bought my ticket to come to Indonesia. I've tried to find my wife a ticket on the same flight with me but can't find it. I booked it through Flighthub so getting a refund may be impossible. Therefore we may either fly separately or try to find something cheap enough that it's not a huge loss to buy two new tickets.

Crazy. I live in Ottawa too lol. I usually use Tiket.com when I'm here and usually fly Air Asia. I'm going to KL in a week for 4 days because my Indonesian visa is expiring and I think I paid maybe 100 CAD round trip from Jakarta.

I paid 800 CAD round trip for my trip to Indonesia so the way I look at it is I'm out 400 and whatever the price of a new ticket is. So I don't wanna buy a new one unless I find a really good deal.

Good for you guys! I hope to have ours before Christmas but no rush as I have tickets booked for April. Don't want to subject them to a SK winter right off the plane ;D

Finally got my GCMS notes after 3 months. Looks promising.

In July the officer did the eligibility assessment and recommend passed. As well the officer noted our relationship with emphasis on making numerous long duration trips including a trip that lasted more than a year. Photos taken at numerous stages of relationship. (I submitted in total about 20 pictures. 2 of each unique situations so it was nice to see the officer recognize the pictures as stages of our relationship.) At the end of the note the officer wrote appears bona fide and recommend wav. I think that's waive interview?

No negatives I can see. Security and criminality not started. Been 4 months since recommend pass. I hope good news come soon.

I guess thats a green signal for u, unless they find anything suspicious after that, u are unlikely to have any interview!

Hi, have anyone landed recently? What questions I might expect and what other documents other than COPR and passport should I keep with myself at the handluggage? Do I need to show the proof of my bank balance at home, as I wouldn't be carrying any cash, rather I would take my International credit card with about 5000 USD limit per month?

Nothing to worry, for appendix b just put your name under ''applicant'' nothing under spouse. And for dependant if your son has canadian passport you put nothing.
