Got the passport back today with Visa and COPR. I am planning to land at the 1st week of December and return by last week of December, so planning to stay around 20-25days. I know its not gonna be enough for getting the PR card, but when they would mail me the card at my Canadian Address, someone from there would send me the card via DHL or FEDEX. Is there any issue doing this?
you should be fine. I don't know about DHL but I sent important document to my wife in Thailand with FEDEX, really good service and it took only 3 days for the delivery.

Picked up passport today =) Wifey is coming next weekkkk!!

Expect ppr soon :)
Normally final review will be done by a senior visa officer, he will take the final decision about eligibility. Criminality and security are process outside CIC office like CSIS
Hi Shineon39,
Hopefully hearing ppr soon. About criminality and security. I never lived in other countries longer than 6 months in case with tourist passport, even the official passport, too. Maximum time living abroad with official passport was be around 3 months. It shouldn't take long time for background checking , right ?
I saw your profile flag, I wonder about how you are related with Thailand but I didn't ask. Now you said your wife in Thailand . is she Thai? Sorry for Curious in your business. Asking because I am Thai.
Thanks for your positive opinion , it is keeping me up. :)

Don't worry I'm pleased to share experience ;) I'm born Canadian citizen and my wife is Thai. We met each other in november 2014 while a was visiting Thailand. She's living here with me since september and get marry in august 2015. Normally security check is not that long but depend on time you lived abroad, had goverment position or if you have done military service.

By your nickname I quest your a man. Have you been picked for military service in Thailand? This is something that can get security check longer I think but if provided all document there should not be any problem ;)

I never trust anything milling service to deliver to Bangladesh. Just never!!
I have got docs sent to me several times, no problem but I won't send anything to BD due to service and address issue. Especially for this important document.

I am flying to Sylhet middle of January to get my wife. If you get it by then and comfortable (you may not) and somewhere in GTA area, I can carry with me.

Thanks for your words brother. One of my cousin might also be flying to Dhaka by mid February, so I would ask him to carry the PR card, as I dont think I will get the card anytime sooner than 20th January due to Christmas week. :)

Hello everyone. I am new here and trying figure out how to post. I have been following this site for a few months now with great interest and have learned a lot already. We submitted our application in June which turned out to be July because of a missed document. Arrived SVO September 6. We are very happy to see that SVO has started processing and have recently asked for a couple more documents that my wife will be sending to them shortly. I am happy about so many getting PPR lately. It is very encouraging to read. I will probably be asking some questions from time to time and wanted to say hello to all for now. Good luck and all the best to everyone.

Hi Shineon39,
You are not good guessing for thai name ;) I am a woman. I am holding government position in the past and right now. I hope it will not take time so long.
My partner is born Canadian citizen, too. We know each other from dating site in 2011 . We met each other in 2013. In relationship 2014. He came here back and forth since we met and took time traveling together in Thailand and in Southeast Asia countries . We live together since February 2016 because I got pregnant . Now our son is 5 month.we apply for PR under conjugal partner since june 2016. Hopefully the coming answer is what we are looking for.

Sorry if I didn't guess correctly ;) By ''conjugal partner'' do you mean common law? If you did apply under Conjugal partner it's unlikely that you will qualify under this category because this category is for couple who cannot live together or get married due to immigration barrier or something like that. And there is no barrier for Canadian to go Thailand!! You have to be common law (living together since 1 year or getting married)

Hi Shineon39,
My application applied for conjugal partne because we didn't live together for a year or get married. Even we are in relationship since end of 2014, and he came back again in2015 on visa on arrival. He did visa run during spending time in Thailand. My situation is not met the needs of CIC about commonlaw partner,So that why I submitted on conjugal partner category.
More updating. This morning i got an email for passport request but I doubt that MyCIC status still be the same as before , background check is still in progress and final decision is still not started . What is going on . Should I be worried about it ?

Hi

My wife's MyCIC account is exactly as yours except the interview says "the applicant's interview has been cancelled" instead of not needed at this time.

Nothing to worry about. Congrats!
