Thanks for the clarification :) bdw is there any chance that the card would not be sent to home address in canada, rather I am asked to collect it in person?
According to CIC website the processing time for 1st PR card it's 41 days. For my wife it took exactly 5 weeks to get it. I'm sure someone can pick it up at your canadian address and mail it to you.

How long has it been taking everyone to get your passport back? Does Singapore VO send anh confirmation when they receive or send back the passport?

You had to supply more photos when you landed? I was under the impression that the first PR card was automatic for new PR applicants. Where these photos different from the ones you sent along with the PPR?

I still don't understand. How do you apply for the PR card? As I said I understood that for the first time there is no need to apply it will be sent automatically. So when do you give them pictures for this? Should my wife have pictures with her when she lands?

Thanks

Well when it was over a week after I know that the hard copy of the police certificate was delivered to the SVO and the status on the Ecas was still showing "provided" and not "Received" I did email them to ask if they could confirm receipt of the hard copy. They replied the next day that they did receive it. The day after that I got the email ( and Ecas message) to submit the passports.....probably just a coincidence.

I sent email asking for acknowledge of receipt. They got it and said , they sent to the officer on 21st November for final review.
Hopefully it will be a good news for me.

No,dont worry about photos for when she lands in canada.

I thought the photos originally sent with the PP to Singapore was the final request.
When my wife landed, she was told the PR card would arrive in 4-6 weeks, with no mention of additional photos.

So,i would just wait for that request.

OK, thanks for that.....very strange that they said at that point that the pictures were not good enough.

They didn't ask for new set of photo for my wife and we received the card after 5 weeks. But if you want my 2 cents; they probably did a mistake with the photo and now they ask a new set.

If you didn't had an interview before it's 98% sure a positive decision. Did you provide the document they asked you?

Hi Shineon39 ,
Thanks for positive answer . I didn't get acknowledge for interview, no interview, so I wish you are right and hear from SVO soon.

About required documents , I sent to them on 14th and I emailed to ask to confirm if they got it. They replied they got it and passed of it on to the officer for final review and said "We will get in touch with you soonest for the next steps of the application". I hope that is a good sign on their email.

By the way , I curious who take responsibility for final review and update status on ecas and MyCIC?
Thanks again
Nattha

Expect ppr soon :)
Normally final review will be done by a senior visa officer, he will take the final decision about eligibility. Criminality and security are process outside CIC office like CSIS

Got the passport back today with Visa and COPR. I am planning to land at the 1st week of December and return by last week of December, so planning to stay around 20-25days. I know its not gonna be enough for getting the PR card, but when they would mail me the card at my Canadian Address, someone from there would send me the card via DHL or FEDEX. Is there any issue doing this?
