Hello guys,
I have a question. there is a question in IRCC web form of case specific inquiry " Did you submit a paper application to an office OUTSIDE of Canada?"
My wife is sponsoring me and my paper was submitted in Mississauga and my visa office is Singapore. My question is what my answer should be? yes or no?
any advice is hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Answer would be, Yes. Because your paper application is meant for processing by SVO. This is my understanding based on common sense.

The answer is " NO" You submitted your application to Mississauga in Canada. Where it is transferred to is not in your control.

This is how I ordered GCMS notes by choosing "paper application", because the application package is transferred by mail to SVO. Is yours transferred by email and that's why you are answering "NO"?

Hello everyone,
I'm really really confuse what should i answer. But i have open the IRCC web form now and i just answer "yes". Then a box come "Select the visa office where you sent your application." Now my question is I didn't sent my application to Singapore. It was forwarded to Singapore from Mississauga. Guys please help me. I have to update my wife cell number asap. I'll mail them tonight.

I think it should be Mississauga if you sent it to that office 1st and then transferred to SVO. If you have any GCMS notes, try to have a look at it and see if it states something such as "File received in Spore from CPC-Mississauga".

Hi, I was going through the MyCIC page and this is the current update:

1. Application Status: Open
2. Review of Eligibility: Review in Progress
3. Medical Status: Not needed at this time
4. Submitted Documents:
5. Interview: Not needed at this time
6. Background Check: Not started
7. Final Decision: Not started

Actually, I am confused why it says not needed at this time instead of passed in my medical status, even I have done the medical upfront in February! Does it by any chance mean that they haven't even opened my application and checked the medical documents or its another way of saying that medical status of mine is ok?

My medical status says in progress even though I did upfront in February. Don't know why Ours don't say completed.

Yes, that's quite strange TBH! Btw, we have more or less similar application submission timeline, but I got AOR and SA on end of April, instead of May. I hope it's not a general case for March applicants, specially between 10-20 March Window! Work of IRCC is really hard to predict!

Exactly! You have answered your own question, you sent it to Mississauga. So the answer to "did YOU submit a paper application to an office OUTSIDE of Canada? So the answer is NO. What CIC does with it later is not in your control. YOU submitted the initial application to Mississauga.

There were two applications:

1) Sonsorship application processed by Missisauga office.
2) Sponsored person's application processed by the designated visa office. In your case it is SVO. The application package sent by Missisauga.

None under spousal sponsorship application send the package directly to respective visa offices outside Canada! So why that question was asked?

As others suggested you can write, No (as both the application originally sent to Missisauga). But if you are confused there will be no harm as you have your own unique UCI number.
