Hello All,

I need some advice re: how to courier to SVO. Has anyone used Fedex, DHL etc. to deliver? Which address did you use in that case? As I will be sending docs from Canada, I don't have much options other than these large courier service which normally don't deliver to PO Box address.

1) P.O. Box 845. Robinson Road Singapore 901645
or
2) One George Street, #11-01, Singapore 049145

Use XpressPost

Dear Experts,

We've landed in Canada on March 2016. Don't have any permanent job yet. Presently earning around CAD 2,500 per month.

I need to bring my mother in law to take kids to school or we can also take care of her, since she lives alone in Bangladesh.

Is it possible? Since both of us (me and my wife) can not go to work keeping our small kids at home alone, it is very important for all of us.

Please provide your valued opinion.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Rossei,
I sent my mom document via Fedex to One George Street - the actual address not PO Box.

I just mailed my application to CPC in Mississauga, there are P.O Boxes and a standard address. I was informed that I can send the application to the P.O Box if I use regular post service (in my case in Canada, I use Canada Post), and if I use a courier service (e.g. Fedex, DHL) then I need to send it to the standard address.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I finally sent my application. I wish I would have managed to send it earlier, however, it's still such a big relief that it's now sent.
I know that it's too early for me to expect to hear any update regarding my application.

But I have been watching this thread and seeing how helpful and useful everyone are. Big thanks to "ImABule" that has answered my questions throgh private messages.

I'm happy to be part of this supportive community.

Cheers

I will contact CanadaPost for that. I didn't know that Xpresspost is considered EMS. When you think about reliable fast service, CanadaPost doesn't come to your mind.

No, it really doesn't loll.

But unfortunately it's the only option from here unless you courier it directly to the embassy street address.

Do you have a tracking number with regular post service?

I did not want to have no tracking on my app when I sent it to CPC-M and I used Purolator.

Here is my Timeline:

- Received by CPC-M: April 22/2016

- AOR1 (from CPC-M): May 11/2016

- Forwarded to SVO: June 13/2016

- SVO Started processing: June 22/2016

- AOR2 (from SVO): June 27/2016

Linked application to My CIC. Below is app status:

Application/profile status - Open
Review of eligibility - Review in Progress
Review of medical results - Passed
Review of submitted documents
Scheduling an interview - Not needed at this time
A background check is needed - Not Started
Final decision - Not Started

Since hasn't get any request for additional or missing documents, can I assume that my application is straight-forward.

Does anyone have any idea, in what stage they ask for additional/missing documents if there is any?

My only concern is age difference (10 Yrs)

Thanks in advance.

So, it's an option too to courier it to their street address. Have people done it before successfully?

I have done it - Fedex to street address. My package arrived on August 10th which was right on the 30th day deadline.
I checked Fedex tracking status, the package arrived and was signed by L Lawrence in Singapore Office - receptionist/Front Desk.
My mom's status on CIC under Background check is needed section is now showing " In Progress".
The package included PCC for both my parents.
