Welcome on the forum ;). You're still at an early stage of the process. You can send more proof if you want, it won't hurt, i did myself 2 time( you dont want to get in interview queue). I would suggest to order your gcms note on a regular basis. I did every 2 month some doing it every month. It will give you a good picture of your application ;)

Can you give us more info about your relationship story, wich country, timeline, etc. would be easier to give you good advice. First advice would be being patient, SVO works slowly :(
Good luck buddy

Thank you Shineon and ImABlue :)

You guys are right, I am on early stage but don't want my wife to in interview queue!

I am the sponsor and the application is very straight forward.

Country is Bangladesh. Had typical traditional marriage. Family met first. Talked over the phone few days before my flight. Met her in person beginning in february, liked each other, family agreed.

We are from same city. Got married first week of March. had to come back last week of March in Canada as vacation was over :(

Applied on May to CPC-M

Very straight forward case. She is doing her Masters and currently living with my family.

I couldn't find out how to add timeline on the left hand side like you guys. So typed below:

App filed: May 13th
AOR1: June 3rd
SA: July 19th
AOR2: July 28

In process.

Thanks guys.

You need 10 posts to make a time line.

Hi Guys,
What is AOR1 and AOR2 that some of you referred in your posts. If its Acknowledgement of Receipt, 1 should refer to CPC-M and 2 should refer to SO, right? Thanks.

Yes that's what AOR is. 1 is CPC-M and 2 is from overseas VO.

@IAmBule - how does your latest note look?

Everything not started.

No new officer notes.

Paper file still says Registry PS.

htquach has the same officer updating his file and also has not started for everything. .

I dunno wtf they are doing, but it's not processing applications apparently..

I don't know how true it is but may be going to your local MP might speed things up. I started getting some traction almost after my MP's office got a reply back. Could've been a big coincidence of course. The official mentioned 90 days past SA warrants for a look-see. So, it couldn't hurt to pursue that avenue if you already haven't.

Does this mean the PR file will need to get looked at within 90 days following sponsorship approvals?

No, no. It just meant that "it's taking too long - let's look into it". The office wouldn't inquire if it's only been like 2 months since you've submitted the application. Hope that make sense...

So as rule of thumb MP offices should help if the file unmoved past 90 days.

I guess so. But they aren't much of a help at that stage. It's almost like ordering your GCMS notes or checking your status on ECAS/myCIC. It probably helps their name going with the inquiry.

This is exactly what I had gotten back in May:

Hello,

Please see below response from IRCC as requested.

• The application was received at the Case processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, on November 30, 2015.
• The initial assessment to ensure your constituent meets the eligibility criteria and that the application is complete has been finalized on November 26, 2015.
• The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if your constituent’s family members meet the eligibility requirements.
o the assessment for the spouse is still in process at the Canadian visa office in Singapore.
• Medical results have expired on April 2, 2016 for your constituent’s spouse.
• The security and criminality verifications:
o Have not been initiated.
• As per current processing times, it may take up to 12 months to finalize the application.

Please call or email if you have any questions.

Have a nice weekend.

See my timeline on the side. I hadn't heard from anybody since December 1st prior to this.

I went to my MP in May, because I wanted to know why NDVO was handing out visas after 2 months when they had longer process times than my wife's country, and he ended up doing an enquiry into my file... Didn't get me anywhere except a note in my GCMS that they received an MP enquiry.

When I check on my Cic it says review of eligibility review and medical review in progress. Everything else not started.

My GCMS notes pulled from last month shows just medical in progress.

Why would medical take this long to review? My wife did her medical in February.
