I asked the same thing before I applied for TRV and was told that the TVR will have no impact on the PR application.

TRV app will not affect your PR app at all.

oh many thnx guyzz, i didnt notice that u discussed all. how many days it takes to issue a visa do u have any idea?

For us (Vietnam), we would get a decision within 60 days. However, we got our decision in ~ 3 weeks.

I think it was around 23 days or was it 29 for Bangladeshis I can't recall exactly from when I was looking into TRV for my wife. She has USA tourist visa as well but we never ended up applying for TRV.

Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since I've posted, but I've certainly been creeping whenever time allowed.

I just want to share with all of you that my wife and I just received an email from Singapore requesting for my wife to send in 2 passport size photos along with her passport (yay!). I recognise that we're not out of the woods yet, but it's a great relief to be one step closer to the end of the PR application process.

I'm actually quite surprised we've been processed so quickly, our application was quite simple compared to the 3~4kg beasts I've been hearing about all over the place!

I wish you all the best of luck! :D

Congrats!

dmac, can you share what you provided as proof of relationship and what your relationship profile looks like?

@ImABule

Our additional evidence was pretty sparse, but we were sure to cover all our time together. I should preface that we live together in a country where neither of us are citizens. We provided:
1. Approx. 40 photos (with commentary written on the back corresponding to our timeline)
2. Official documents from her/our universities and my place(s) of work indicating that we did, in fact, live in the same city as one another.
3. Photos of my train tickets back and forth from one city to the city where she lived (there was a time when I worked in a different city from where she studied, but I still managed to live with her), we had a nice array of them -- I made about 55 trips, back and forth (one trip per week for about 1 1/2 years). This is included in the "40 photos" listed above.
4. A letter from my parents saying that we could live with them while we get on our feet in Canada.
... that's about it.

Our relationship is pretty straightforward (I think): we met as international students in the same university, hit it off, and then stayed together in the same city for the past 4 years or so.

Honestly, I'm just happy we've been able to do this process while staying together...!

Wow... Congrats dmac!!!

Freaking in roughly 5 months!!!

Congratuation, dmac! 5 month only!? I bet SVO has just increased the salary for their officers :P :P.

By the way, could you correct your timeline, dmac? Your passport request should be 28-Jun, not 28-Jul, I believe.
