I am not saying they wont give it to him its just that they will take their own sweet time. They'll ask questions, probe, investigate further. And since sadatul is being sponsored by his wife they investigate this even further. Wife sponsoring husband takes longer, I dont know why but I think this is pretty discriminatory. I wish him and his wife the very best and hope things work out for him faster as this will give hope to others cause this whole process is painful to say the least the rest really depends on the IO

Sadatul you will have until August 2011 to land in Canada. You don't have 1 year from the time your visa is stamped. You have to land before your medical expires and that it one year.

Hello guys ..I just received a call from my mother-in-law who is living in canada and she told us that she got a letter from immigration canada and they are requesting for my PR fees $490 in order to conclude my application. I hope this is the final stage. However i already paid that fees and they got the receipt in december 3rd and at the same day they also issued for that payment request. I think they didnt see my payment receipt at the time when they are sending me that request.

I obviously disagree with Newton coz my spouse was living in Canada for more than 1o years ans she came here to marry me and now staying with me waiting for my visa. If any canadian citizen lives exclusively outside canada then she/he have to proff that she/he will return canada after issuing visa. And thats why we sent them an acceptance letter of my wife's educational instituion in order to proof that she will be returing with me after my visa.

Anyways at least i got that update and thanks all for ur timely advises.

Are you sure they are asking for PR request and not for landing fee?....Did you already pay your landing fee?

@ Farhanz.. They asked me to pay PR fees that also called landing fees which is $490 as we didnt pay it at the time we sent our entire application. Yes by this time we already paid it and they got it on December 7th.

Oh yeah....You got it!

Look at the date on the CIC letter...must have been sent way before 7th December. Since they asked for your landing fees, I don't think it will take more than 2/3 weeks for you to get your Passport request.

Yes they sent that letter on december 3rd..
