Yes it was 14mths :( just to be put on the interview list because they requested additional documents from us which took 2mths for us to get together. And now i've been informed by my lawyer, who knows ppl in immigration, that 24mths wait no longer UNOFFICIALLY applies b/c of the refugees that are coming in....employees from those departments are being transferred to process all the refugees. Not sure if this affects Singapore but my lawyer told me it will affect all other applications. They're all being put on the back burner. The Minister of Immigration has already been called out on this by the opposition but had denied that it is happening. Thus my husband's interview could be another 3yrs from NOW.

Side note, my lawyer also informed me that The Freedom of Informations Act is only helpful for the notes AFTER an interview has be conducted and there was a denial, everything else will just be what we sent in with our application.
Interesting, I am going to send off more supporting documents eg: my trip to Thailand to see my wife and step daughters, after i submitted the application. It's been a full year, since they have had any updates to my proof of marriage, sigh :( GCMS notes will be in by the end of January. See what happens.

I can't find total processing time of spousal sponsorship for Singapore visa office! Where can I find it? However I find that a general time limit for all visa offices has been set as 18 months. Applicant like me already passed 27 months. What is the expectation for us?

Hi Hasan9999,

Do you have any updates on your visitor visa application? Do we need to submit police clearance (from Bangladesh) for visitor visa?

Thank you.

No update except they notified receipt of biometrics. I have applied online in USA and posted processing time is 20 days recently reduced from 52 days (NY). No they didn't ask for police clearance.

Take care

Wait time varies from person to person. I saw somewhere in this forum that interview held twice a year in Canadian High Commission, Dhaka with the interviewers from SVO. Wait time could be over two years from the date they communicate that interview is forthcoming. But that's vague unless they let you know the exact date.I have no idea how many applicants from Bangladesh is still waiting for the interview. It would be really helpful if the forum members who are under interview list can share what is happening with dates as well as experience. This thread was quite vibrant in the past but I don't see now a days members are participating actively. Thank you.

I received the interview letter early last year but successfully contested it by sending additional evidence based on CIC's requests in the letter and comments made in my ATIP notes.

Since the interview was waived in June, I have had really fast replies from our VO. The delay between June and Dec was due to pregnancy. But now, according to CIC, the only thing holding them up from requesting my wife's passport is their doctors assessing the re-medical results. I was getting immediate replies between Xmas and New Years Day.

Dear Senior and Experts,

I'm seeking your kind guidance regarding my spousal application.

I'm a Canadian Permanent Resident and has been here from May, 2015. Right now I'm working with one of the major Canadian Bank.

My fiance lives in Bangladesh (assigned VO is Singapore) and I would like to apply for Outland Spousal Application right after our marriage.

My queries are -

---Should I will be eligible for open work permit?

---What is the prospect for getting a Visit Visa if we will apply for TRV after sending the main immigration application?

I will really appreciate your response.

Thanks
Kayes

Good morning,

I am a new user and I have few questions. I would really appreciate if anyone can help.

1. How do I make an ATIP request?

2. I recently received AOR2 from Singapore and I feel that I have not send enough pictures of my wedding. Can I still send it to SVO without receiving a request from them first?

3. As per the post above, How to you submit information online?

4. Is ECAS is the only place I can see the status of my application?

I got a one way ticket for my wife to come to Canada could that cause a problem. The route of her flight is

SGN-ICN-ORD-YUL

Vietnam-Korea-USA-Canada

Also she will not be insured for the first 3 months she is in Quebec and advice on medical insurance.

Permanent resident

Also I have a Visitor visa in the works for her. Just put it in and did the bio-metrics 2 weeks ago in Ho Chi Minh Should I just let that run of cancel it. I would rather let it sit so not to risk them messing up the permanent resident visa
