Hi guys - here's where we're at:

Indonesian wife, working in Singapore, and going through the Singapore VO.

We just received an email that asked her for the police certificate from Singapore. The Singapore police will apparently mail the certificate to CIC, and my wife won't actually see it. However...the email we received says, "Please submit your Singapore police certificate(s) as soon as possible. Please quote your name, date of birth and file number on the police certificate. ".

How the heck are we supposed to make sure that the police certificate has her name, DOB, and file number, when the Singapore PD just sends it direct to CIC?

I'm sure that we're not the first to encounter this. How did others manage it?

Hi,

My spouse's application also changed to "In Process" on 19th August, 2015. However, in the details page in eCAS the list is still the same:

1. We received your application on ....
2. Medical results have been received.

Also, I noticed one subtle thing. The mailing address changed slightly (we used my mailing address in Canada).

Previously it was:
xxxx xx <----there was a typo there
Street Name
City, Province
Canada
Postal Code

Now it is:
xxxx-xx Street Name
City, Province
Canada
Postal Code

Notice the formatting change, and the address is now a correct address. So, definitely they have updated the address in their system.
Is it an indication that they have dispatched a letter to my Canadian address instead of the email address? If so, should I email them to dispatch the same letter via email too? I am asking because it might take about a month for the letter to get here, and if we have to do medical and police clearance again, the sooner it can be started the better. What do you guys think?

I don't think it would hurt to inquire. You may also want to follow up by phone to the toll free number, so there's further record of your inquiry.

Good news guys!!

I just got e-mail today requesting my passport!! :D :D

My e-cas just changed to in process on 22nd August but yesterday there's a new line stating that they started to process my application on march 16th..which is weird...but I guess it's good because today I just received passport request. :D

One question that is a bit confusing..when they ask to complete a form listing people who will accompany me to Canada... I should put my husband and my 2 children's name in it right even though they're Canadian? They will accompany me to Canada when I land. For passport I guess it's only mine since i'm the only one who need the PR. Can anyone re-confirm that my understanding of this situation is correct. Don't want to screw up my application..

Thanks a lot!

Congrats! You guys must be thrilled beyond belief!

I'm looking at your timeline and mine is very similar. We just had e-cas show, within the past week, that our file was "In Process", and a new line stating they started my wife's application on April 23rd. We had an email a couple days ago requesting she go to the Singapore police department for her Certificate of Clearance.

That email also stated "Please note that you are not required to attend an interview.". Then just today, my wife received a package in the mail containing our letters and other assorted evidence that we submitted as part of the application. I'm wondering if these are indications that we are close to getting our PPR as well! ;D

Yes..we are so thrilled!!I checked my e-cas today and it changed to decision made! Crazy!! Suddenly so many things happen in August after no news since March. I think that once you send the PC then you'll get PPR in no time. Thank god they didn't ask for new PC or new medical for me..just my passport. Good luck to you :)

Got re-medical request today by email from SVO. Also they asked for copy of passport bio-pages (30 days time limit).

You're getting closer... :D

Hello All, my wife Received PPR on august 13th and her email says:

"Please provide the following within 30 days.

Please note that your medicals/visa will expire on 22 September 2015. If you are unable to land by this date please notify our office immediately and do NOT submit your passports.

Please reply to this e-mail by 24 August 2015 to confirm if you could land in Canada before 22 September 2015."

SVO also mailed all the originals back. She has responded to this email and sent her passport via Dhaka VFS on 17th and as per the tracking system it says "Visa application, tracking ID No.ABCD has been received by the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on 19/08/2015 and its under process." , Ecas showed "Decision Made" on 21st. We are waiting to see if VFS shows passport being dispatched. Does anyone know how long does it usually take for SVO to dispatch the pp after decision made? Hopefully she gets her passport soon so she can make all travel arrangements!

Congrats.

In your case it will be very quick, may be by next 2/3 days.

Watch VFS, Dhaka website everyday. It will show when SVO will dispatch your PP to Dhaka.

Give a booking in a Airlines.

Hi guys!

After waiting for almost 34 days from In Process. We have finally received our PPR today! :D

What is the best way to sent out the Passport (to Singapore) is it through a private courier or drop/pick up on CVAC?

Let me know your insights, especially people that are from Bangkok. :-*

Congratulations!! I just sent mine thru CVAC because CIC mention it in the e-mail. I think it's safer since they know what to do.
