It varies on person to person. If they need an further documents they will contact you. But recently they have picked up their pace. Hopefully you do not have to wait that long.

Hi all,

Quick info on my case, newbie here : :)

Filed case for my Indonesian wife on October 8th 2014.
Approved as a sponsor on December 18th, 2014
Letter sent to wife in Yogyakarta, Indonesia that her application is in Singapore office
Medical has been received - we did medical with the Mississauga submission.
CSQ filed two weeks ago almost. (I'm in Montreal, Quebec)

I'm asking for any Indonesian still active, to give perhaps their timeline and advices on the Singapore office. I been reading hundreds of pages, but mainly from the 2012 - hardly so far in 2014, maybe I'm mistaken.

Love to hear your stories and motivation, our prayers were for her to be here in 6 months (meaning this month!) We're still hoping. Any processes and "heads up" would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

My wife is Indonesian, so I'd love to compare notes, especially pertaining to any narrative pretaining to any cultural/religious differences (if any) . As I'm a Canadian Christian guy, and my wife is Muslim, we had some 'splainin' to do :P

Seriously though, this was the toughest part, and one we figured CIC may focus on.

Yeah, so it was easier because though she is an Indonesian, but she's from Yogyakarta - the university city of Indonesia, and so they're used to Bules and people from other countries visiting. As well, she gives English lessons, and she was actually one of the translator for a seminar I had attended whilst there.

As for religion, interested that you were able to get married in Indonesia? I thought you can't marry others from another religion...so there's that, how was your marriage certificate produced? I don't know what more to say, unless one of you converted, then maybe they'll question it?

Best of luck,

Alhamdulillah my wife got passport request via e-mail.Thanks all of Canada immigration forum members who gave me advice and suggestions.

Hi guys! We just got SA on march 5th and our visa office is singapore. Will I get second AOR after my application is transfered? It's seem pretty quiet here..I wonder how many people are still in the queue to get PR. I do hope I can get it within this year. Fingers crossed!
