Congrats!! :) If i remember correctly, you are going back home this month right? so she can come with you!! :) :)

Yes, now she can :) it was a bit nerve wrecking but finally got it!

Thanks everyone in this forum, people were really cooperating. I will check in time to time.

Me and my wife got our PR on 2012 and came to Canada , received our PR card and went back to Bangladesh. There on 2013 our child was born. Now on 2014 we came back to Canada permanently with my child(tourist visa for the child). I applied for my child's PR on August 2014. First part of the process is complete, that is I am eligible to sponsor my child. They have send the application to Singapore visa office for further process on September. Do you have any idea how long it will take to complete the whole process? I have already applied to extend my child's visit visa.
Thanks.

Not trying to discourage you or anything, but when it comes to dealing with the SVO, a little patience is our friend. It took my wife 15 months (from applying to getting her visa -- and our case was a straightforward one (meaning, no issues whatsoever). Difficult cases could even take 2 years or more), and you only applied in August 2014? So at this time (Dec 2014) it's only been 4 months for you. Not saying yours will take 16 months though......just saying that it's normal that you're still seeing "Application Received" in ECAS :).

Hi All,

just a quick question. Why is there such a discrepancy between the CIC's waiting time on their website (32 months), and the wait times I'm seeing in this forum (5-10 months for quite a few recent posters)? Did someone in Singapore just crack a whip recently?

Yes, I'm wondering the same, and would love to know what changed.
