@ Koifish76--Would you happen to know what's the average waiting time now to get the passport back from Singapore?

I'll try to update spreadsheet this weekend and then will post the averages and current trends.

Hey, this can happen, but is rare. You mustn't worry about a reversal ok? I do hope you had a wonderful time with your wife this past month. How was Banff?

As for us, passport has been in Singapore since monday and we finallly have our ECAS changed to IN Process. Date was Sep 24. Same day we received email about passport request I think. And yesterday, wife recieved a package...thinking it was passport already haha...but just photos and a weird checklist that i included. Wonder why they thought we want that checklist back... ::)

Anyways, we know passport will take some time. Hopefully we can all finish soon everyone.

We actually didn't go to Banff, we changed our plans a bit and decided to stay at home more. But yeah, maybe worrying a bit too much here, just waiting for that DM haha.

6 weeks, that's about the same time as most people here are getting their passports back after submitting. It's a bit long time, but it's ok, we've waited almost 7 months already, so 6 weeks isn't too bad.

There seems to be a vast inconsistency regarding after decision made to when the passport is in hand with visa. Numerous posters have mentioned there is a "hold" time of anywhere from one to 4 weeks AFTER DM.

Anyhow, spreadsheet is Updated.. ;D. Congrats to the 4 of you recently being able to be with loved ones.

Some trends are pretty radical... After SA to In process seems to be getting shorter with each passing month. Now the average for 2014 is down to only 104 days...not too long ago it was 3-4 times longer!

Decision Made from submitting passport date has actually stayed constant since I began tracking months ago..still 33 days on ave.

And congrats to the first 2014 applicant to get COPR. I have a feeling October will bring much more joy to many of us.

God bless,

Hi All,

Im newbie here. Happy and glad to read this post knowing many of you got the approval quite fast as compared to what is stated on the website.

I'm a Malaysian who is getting married to a Canada PR soon. We planning to have outland application (Singapore visa office) but the timeline is 31 mths on the CIC website. I saw some of you got the sponsorship approval within a year, which is amazing!! Is it for spouse sponsorship?

Many Many thanks for the reply!! :D :D

I actually ordered one last GCMS notes 2 days ago after seeing that other guy's thread about his wife getting interview right after his wife went to pick up the passport. I won't rest easy until I see DM :P

Ignore the 31 months time. That's for people who have lots of problems and red flags with their application. If you have a solid application with minimal red flags, expect to get PR in 7-8 months as you can see from other's experiences on this thread.

Send original hard copy and courier over.

I don't think you should email the police certificate to them.
They probabaly think it was photoshop. :D

yup , send original copy over, if in any case you wish to send a photocopy , get it notorise. but i believe everyone here (including me) submitted original copy for that

Thank you guys, I will be sending the original copy for sure :) ... the only reason I was confused was because if God forbids it got lost I cannot take out a new one fast enough, so thought maybe if they accept scanned I'll send that. But I get your points as well and it's better if I just send the original :)

Thank you 8)

After waiting for more than a month. Finally, decision made today. Hoping the passport with visa arrive soon ;D ;D ;D
