Hi guys,

After 75 days, I finally received the GCMS notes I ordered. Would anyone know where is the information about the interview other than the general notes at the end? These are contradictory in my case. Thanks.

Hi,

You can also find that under the Activity section.

Eligibility value should list "Recommended Passed" if interview is waived.

Off topic: Do you have any update from SVO? My File has been In Process for more than two weeks but no PPR letter yet.
I emailed SVO and they replied with the common response"File is under review..."

Hi Drmbig

If you do not get PPR by registered mail by next 2/3 days, enquire about the mail at your local post office as now-a-day mis-type of address by SVO is pretty common for Bangladeshi cases.

Good luck buddy.

Thanks bud!

No luck there either. Hope something better will happen next week.

I submitted my passport to VFS Dhaka 1st june 2014. In my case it takes 2.5 months nearly for changing in process to decision made i.e. 18th August ( ECAs Status)and till now i m waiting for my passport from SVO but still it shows under process (VFS Tracking system). I don't know now what to do? I mailed them but no reply from them (nearly 1 month). Can any one help me pls by giving me suggestions?

Can someone explain why it takes so long for them to return the passport?

What do they do with it, besides pit the visa stamp?

Bokamanush,

You or I have nothing to do at our end but to wait.

But remember SVO can not hold our PP long time (means more than 3 months) as it is travel documnet we need it to travel other country for urgent purpose like medical reason. VOs are Canadian and civilized, they understand it. They will return it soon.

Hi DrmBig,
Is it for the first activity? Its status is "Recommended Passed". Also, the notes end with "First marriage for this couple in their early 30s. Do not appear high risk. Possible waiver." Thing is my wife received an interview request letter last month :/ Activity 2 is still "Not started". Does it mean she was requested for the interview at the second part of the process? I thought that it was really unlikely to happen?

The final stage is the passport control stage, done by a different department in the Singapore office. Yes they insert the counterfoil stamp, in addition to many other things. Here is what i explained to someone else in a different thread...

So, based on how I interpret this chart, is that once the passport request/medical/police letter is sent, there is a whole new ball game and different time lengths based on a variety of factors not limited to, the complexity of each individual case and each employee who is overseeing each particular stage, and each background check (possibly requiring the assistance of local agencies such as CBSA, RCMP, CSIS, and outside agencies (foreign immigration/police?) on the security and passport control aspects. A time difference of a few weeks to months can happen because of so many factors and would make it impossible to process the end stages on a first come first serve basis after passport request letter.

Pm me if you would like further explanation (about chart that I was referring to).

Hey johnnycage, have you had any other document requests? Based on your gcms, are you going to send further proof, or just wait it out? How many assigned to, and assigned by do you count on your gcms???
I hope they see that an interview is not needed after all.

Just an update, wife picked up police clearance for the 3rd time and mailed it to Singapore today. ECAS still shows application received.

Yes, under the principal applicant's name.

Even your GCMS note "possible waiver" section telling about the waived scenario. Most probably, second officer (other than the first one who wrote that note) deems the need of interview.
That's why, I think, you got a letter.

Gather strong documents referring to solid proof like phone bills, financial support, your boarding pass, e-ticket etc for the interview.

Personally, I think, sending extra documents won't change anything at this point but who knows, you may try.

I'm so sorry to hear that:at this point, stressing out won't help either. Please don't loose your mental strength and we all pray that your spouse will be with you soon in canada.

Good luck. I was expecting you to see the medical received statement also.

I'm modifying the earlier statement: you'll only see that once the principal applicant gets the AOR from SVO.

Nope I havent received anything else. I sent further proof just before we learned about the interview request. However, from what I have read here they dont accept documents after interview has been requested :(

I will request GCMS notes again to get the reason for the interview. Hope it's not gonna take 75 days this time, hehe
