After husband been approved as sponsor,singapore received my app last june 2013. In process last May 27,2014. Sent my passport and police cert on june 24 2014 so singapore might receive on 26th. Decision made more than a week or 2 after that. Received passport today

My wife's pp is ready for pick up at Dhaka VFS. And I saw a big DHL box just came when I was leaving. I believe that box has passports with visas for those who are waiting. Check your tracking number.

1) Did the GCMS notes mention about the student visa refusal in the past?


2) And during the interview session of your spouse, did the visa officer ask anything regarding the student visa refusal in the past?

This is what I found while logging onto the VFS website today :

"Your Decision has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on 04/08/2014 to the Canada Visa Application Centre DHAKA . To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website "

How long does it take the passport to get to Dhaka, Bangladesh? Can I expect it by Friday this week?

Yup expiry date is next year means i should enter canada before that right? Yup they requested me to remedic cause my up-front was already expired

After 30 months, 2 interviews, 2 family weddings, 2 births, 1 death of a parent, 10 months apart, and countless hours of despair and stress, it is certain.

We can be together. I can reunite with my family. We can start a new adventure together.

Sigh 'o' relief.

It is a hard process but you can come out a winner in the end. Trust in your relationship and the visa officers will too!

Best of luck to everybody! Pray to avoid the interview queue, but if you do get on the slow track, know that there is still light at the end of the tunnel. It just takes a wee bit longer to see it!

And just as a sidebar:

To add to the comedy of errors that this process has been... we waited for 45 minutes in line at the VFS office. Then when we FINALLY got to the counter...... they couldn't find the package! They misplaced it. Our faces dropped as we were sure it was in the bottom of a massive rejection pile.. we waited... 10 more minutes... 20 minutes... finally the golden package was found....

As if our blood pressure wasn't high enough!
