Ah I see!! Okay let's see........my wife's first med expired on 12 Dec 2013 and she was requested to do the 2nd exam almost 2 months later, on 5 Feb. Your husband's first med should've expired in early April, and assuming your timeline is similar as mine, he should get his 2nd med request in late May or early June. My wife got her 2nd exam request via email and snail mail (together with PPR).

Again, I'm just saying this based on my timeline......your results may vary slightly. Make sure that your husband keeps checking his email inbox, and he should white list the domain international.gc.ca to make sure emails from the CIC don't get to the Spam folder.

Thanks fandv, I appreciate your fast response.

The thing is, I'm pregnant and my due date is on Aug 5. Do you think my husband could get his passport back before that time?
Is it a good idea to ask the MP for help?

As per Guide 3999 section Police clearence " Police certificate must have been issued no more than 3 months prior to submitting the application."

You exceed the 3 month to submit your application. So SVO most probably ask to re-do Police certificate.

Medical is already expired on April 1, 2014 and VO will not be able to complete issue of your visa within next 3 months. So SVO may ask your husband to do re-medical.

Issuing visa before August does not seem practical as per the trends analysis in this forum. Sorry.

I guess the only thing we can do now is wait, wait... and wait patiently!

When did u sent your passport and when did you got decision made

hello,

My passport was sent to svo on 6th march and they received it on march 10. They just updated my ecas and only today it shows decision made.

I have a feeling they (svo) just sleeps on our cases until we email them or the local mps. Why are they so slow? On top of that if the email they sent out to my mp is correct then I will have to go by the 29th of june, and I am yet to receive my passport. I am a professor, and I am in the middle of the summer semester. How can I leave without a month's notice. They should at least issue the visa matching the expiry of my medical, which is the 9th of September.

Pathetic service.

I think we have been trying to find reasons for the visa office for the delay, issuance of student visa, public holidays, lack of manpower, etc. But basically they are just not moving at all. Am going to do a case specific enquiry again to chase them for it

Hi Hasan,

It means they have already returned you passport with visa. VFS will call you soon.

Let's see what happens! I heard that it is too hard to get a TRV when your immigration application is pending. Thanks Jannat.

Bad news! I picked up passport today from VSF, Dhaka and my TRV application was denied even though I have submitted enough documents to prove that I would come back. Previously I travelled Canada with both TRV and PR over dozen times. I have valid USA, UK & other multiple visa in my passport. I applied to attend graduation ceremonies(University & High School) for two children who are Canadian citizens. With my valid multiple entry visas, I will be able to visit all over the World except Canada where my Canadian wife and children are permanently living! This is the reality!

My hubby received his passport, medical extn and police certificate request Yesterday. There mentioned that it'll take one month to print the visa. But here I have seen that people are wating for long to get their passport back. That's why I want to know, actually how long it take to get the passport back from svo?

It's gg to be 2 months for me since passport submitted. If u need to do any travels , u might want to do it BEFORE submitting passport

I'm not saying that your timeline will be the same...but speaking from personal experience: my wife got her passport request on 14 Feb, and got it back 91 days later, on 16 May. Your timeline may vary...it's a little hard to predict.

Just so you'll have a peace of mind, make sure to tell your husband that he should send his passport via courier to the SVO. And also, make sure, if possible at all, that he chooses to have his passport returned via courier (such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc). Not only is it faster to use a courier, but also, he'll be able to keep track of the movement of the passport.

The Canadian government just called my wife and said they would be sending a package tomorrow with everything in it. Does that mean the passport? It's been almost 6 weeks since she sent it!!!

When my wife asked of her passport was being said the last that called said she didn't know the envelope was sealed. I'm freaking out I don't know if this is good news or not!

It's visa inside, don't worry. Today many Vietnamese applicants got calls to pick up their visa.
Congratulations,

Spacely84, what's your current status on ecas?
