Thanks! ;)

Similarly, Sammikens' husband's visa was issued 5 days prior to his "Decision Made" status (interesting indeed....one would think that the visa issuance should come on or after Decision Made. But apparently not....it's the other way around... ;))

Unless you're in a big hurry, it's not that necessary to visit your MP's office.......I contacted my MP's office (and got their help) purely via email. Just trying to save you a trip to his/her office ;)

By the way how's it going with your boss? Is he still angry that you still haven't got back your passport?

Good luck to the rest of you!! Your visas are coming soon!!! :D

Congrats and Congrats.

Hi I applied for TRV recently pending spousal sponsorship application and tracking VFS Canada Application Centre today shows status as below:
Your Decision has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, Singapore to the Canada Visa Application Centre DHAKA
My question is what does it mean? Is it kind of negative decision? I think package will arrive from Singapore VO next week. Any idea?

Hi guys,

My e-cas status has changed to In Process since May 12.
Just wondering how long should I expect to receive any email/letter/ or update from SVO?

Thanks.

Tell us more a little more about your application please?

When did you submit your application?

When did you get your 2nd medical request (if any)?

Through which office are you applying?

When did you get your passport request (if any)?

Hi fandv, thank you for your reply.
Here is my timeline:
Application sent: 19 Jun 2013
SVO received: 22 July 2013
1st Medical done: 01 April 2013
Police Check done: 06 Mar 2013
Ecas in process: 12 May 2014

I think my husband has to do 2nd medical exam and police check, but we have not heard anything from SVO so far. We're still waiting for them.

Here's our very detailed timeline:

Application submission till its arrival at CPC-Mississauga (CPC-M): 8 days.

Application arrival at CPC-M till CPC-M AOR: none, as our application forms got lost.

Application arrival at CPC-M till sponsorship approval: 77 days (not the norm, since our forms got lost in transit and we had to redo them.)

Sponsorship approval till AOR from SVO: 8 days.

SVO AOR till 2nd med request: 286 days (9 months and 11 days)

2nd medical exam request till "In Process" and passport request: 9 days ("In Process" and PPR came on the exact same day). Wife did re-med 6 days after the request.

Wife didn't have to attend an interview. She also didn't have to submit a 2nd police clearance.

Passport arrival in SVO till visa issuance: 27 days.
PPR letter told wife to wait 6 weeks since re-med before sending passport, but she sent her passport 28 days after re-med since we were absolutely sure that the CIC had already received her re-med results. So we thought, no point in waiting 6 weeks.

Visa issuance till Decision Made: 4 days.

Decision Made till passport, visa, and COPR were mailed back from SVO to my wife: 25 days.

Passport, visa, and COPR mailed back till they arrived at my wife's hands: 10 days.
Kinda slow since wife had no choice but to choose registered mail for the return. Could've been way faster if she used courier.

Total time of this long and arduous journey (application submission till passport back in hands): 479 days a.k.a. 1 year, 3 months, 24 days a.k.a. 15 months 24 days.

Good luck to the rest of you!! Your visas are coming soon!!! :D

congrats ... now you can rest your mind :)

Ah I see!! Okay let's see........my wife's first med expired on 12 Dec 2013 and she was requested to do the 2nd exam almost 2 months later, on 5 Feb. Your husband's first med should've expired in early April, and assuming your timeline is similar as mine, he should get his 2nd med request in late May or early June. My wife got her 2nd exam request via email and snail mail (together with PPR).

Again, I'm just saying this based on my timeline......your results may vary slightly. Make sure that your husband keeps checking his email inbox, and he should white list the domain international.gc.ca to make sure emails from the CIC don't get to the Spam folder.
