And did the SVO send the package to VFS using registered mail or courier?

And how did VFS send the package to your wife?
I am not sure about whether it was courier/registered mail, have to ask my wife. will let you know.

VFS after receiving the PP will call you, send you sms and also will email you. You cant miss all 3 of them and they are kind of persistent in finding you to handover the PP as per my wife and also recently of my brothers PR. Plus you can also check withe the tracking no. that they give you when you submit your PP.

Think we might all be in the same batch together- the next wave of decision made and passports issued. Seems like now they are issuing ppr and in processing for other applications. Prob it's time for them to deal with all our passports first before a huge backlog occurs again

It used to be just 2-3 weeks for passports to return. I wonder what's taking them so long.

My wife got the AOR email from SIngapore couple of days ago. After SA email, it took almost 36 days to have that. Any update from your side?

Hi DrmBig,
Really happy for you! That is great news. No updates from my end. Still waiting. Wonder whats taking so long. Just wondering, did your online status change after your wife got her UCI#?
Thanks!

Hi DrmBig,
Me again. Can I also ask what the mail from SVO with AOR says? Is it just informational listing her AOR or are there any action items?
Thanks!

To those of you who've been waiting for too long to get your passport back: I suggest that your or your sponsor get in touch with your MP.....most likely he/she will be able to help you. Don't waste time using the case specific inquiry form as the SVO rarely replies......we've contacted them 3 times within the past 3 weeks, and zero reply (apart from the automated replies, lol)

On the other hand my MP contacted them and boom, instant reply within 2 days.

If it weren't for my MP, we would've been left in the dark as to what's going on with my wife's passport :).

Hello All,

Just wanted to give you all an update.

My wife got her passport back in May 02, 2014 with her PR visa.

We went to nearest border in US May 11, 2014 and got her landing papers. They informed us that she will get her PR card in mail in 6-8 weeks.

It took us 15 months to process PR application would have been faster if we had submitted the remedical and passport earlier. We submitted passport and remedical on March 24, 2014.

It was nice shearing the experience with you all.

Best of luck in the future. Hope all you waiting hear good news soon.

See? Even with a long processing time and a brutal VO, bangla got his passport request in just a year. Goes to show if you have a strong application and relationship background, you won't have to wait so long.

Anybody applied in July 2013 already got a reply from SVO requesting for passport? I assumed we start counting from the AOR date..... Please correct me if I got it wrong.

Much appreciated.

Thanks for your input fandv. I've checked out the people who got PR in 6 months and they all have very very solid relationship background, even more so than me. The sponsor actually lived with the applicant in her home country for 2-3 years, they travelled many countries together, countries that are extremely difficult for regular Vietnamese citizens to enter. But the typical applicant I've seen, ones with no interview or major issues, they all seem to take 11-12 months to get PR.

As for the re-med, I think I will email CIC about this and ask if I can do that.
I heard that CIC hardly reply back to emails! Is there any way to get feedback from their call centre? When you know your medical already expired after one year, how can you do it without any directives whatsoever from SVO? Thanks.
