If applying via the Singapore office, I believe it's pretty rare NOT to get a remed request though. Principal applicants that have more chance of not getting a remed request are usually from places like Europe, the US, Australia, etc.

Having said that, I know someone who applied via Singapore, who got her PR in only 6 months. That's very rare of course...but if it could happen to her, it could happen to you too....nobody knows...

I had seen someone from Singapore who got the PR in 6 months. Btw, I have not submitted my police cert yet as I believe CIC will inform about it.

It is accurate. It is what the processing officer sees in their system

Thanks kaisin82. Anyone requesting their police cert in Singapore? I would like to know the process and hopefully it is not too complicated when CIC asking me to produce it as I'm residing in Singapore.

are u residing in Singapore? if you are, you need to go down to the police cantonment complex and apply. cost is $45sgd and takes 10 working days for Singapore citizens and a bit longer for PR. You will need to provide 2 passport size photos also =) hope that helps!

Yes, are you living in SG too? Thanks again. It is very helpful.

Just in case you don't have photos, there is a photo machine right outside their office. You need to produce the letter from SVO indicating there is a need for the Police Cert, then fill up a form, take fingerprints, submit everything and you can go. They will give you a reciept with a date stamp indicating when you can collect your cert so just bring that along upon collection.

this is the reply i get from SGVO

"This file is currently pending final review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. Please note that your spouse’s Schedule A is incomplete with missing information in Addresses – see attached. Your spouse may complete, sign, scan and send the fully-completed Schedule A to our office by email. You have been advised NOT to leave any gaps in Schedule A and failure to account for all time periods will delay the processing of your application.

Please note that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. "

wonder what does pending final review mean? keeping fingers crossed!!

OMG!!!!!! Congrats Sammikens! Finally! :) :) :)

1. Your visa was issued on 2nd April?? So it took them over a month to return the passport?! Bizarre O.o

2. Your husband's remed was in Feb 2014 right? What's the expiry date of his COPR?

3. What else did you get besides the passport and COPR? The B4 and B4A forms perhaps? And?

Ya I got decision made on the 7th of April and the visa said it was issued in the 2nd so ya it took them that long!!! I sent them an email a day before it showed that it was dispatched so I'm convinced they forgot.

The expiry for the visa is feb of next year.

All I got was the CORP, a stamp in his passport and instructions on what to do when you get to the airport... What's B4 forms?
