Hello All,
Can anyone help me with my case? My wife is changing address from USA where she was a student to Bangladesh. How would I inform the CIC? Does it matter much her address has changed (as the principal applicant). I am assuming that it is more important that the sponsor doesn't change his or her address (which is the case here). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! :'(

Is there any March 2014 applicant?

@ All, - does SVO send any letter stating "File has been received in SVO."
- If so, how long does it take to get that after sponsor approval letter?
- DO both sponsor and sponsored person get that email from SVO?

My Timeline: App receive @ CPC: 3 March; AOR: around 2nd April; SA: 4th April

Thank you!

Hi DrmBig,
I am in the same boat. No news from CIC on when they will actually transfer my files to SVO. Can I ask what AOR means? My application was received by the CPC on 4th March and I received an email from them on 25th march informing me of my application number. On the 2nd of APril they send me another 2 emails listing that I am approved as a sponsor. Curiously I received 2 emails. One that said If I had any questions I should contact the SIngapore High Commision of Canada and another email, exactly the same except listing CPC Ottawa if I had any questions. Is this unusual?
Since then no contact from CIC though. Checking my online status everyday and its driving me crazy!
Thanks!

Beside "Enquiries", click on the "Case specific" link (the one that starts with https://dmp-portal.....). I'm deliberately not posting the direct link because everytime the URL is clicked, a unique ID is assigned.....not sure how important that is....but I'm just playing it safe.

By the way, AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt.

think if i don't hear from this week, i'm really tempted to go down personally to their office next wednesday to ask about it, and see what they say.

on the side note, someone from the skilled workers forum that submitted passport to singapore on 21st march has received their passports on 28th april. so maybe they are doing it in batches. Hopefully they can be done with issuing before they go for their summer vacation!!

What's your eCAS status now?

Do you live in Singapore by the way? Would be very nice if you came to SVO to ask about what's going on, on behalf of us... ;).

Hmmm, strange that that person submitted his passport later than my wife did, yet he already got back his passport. I guess SVO doesn't work in a first come first serve manner then... *sigh*

Yup I live in Singapore, the office only opens every Wednesday from 830am till 930am. I think I will head down next Wednesday if there's still no news, next Wednesday will be my 5th week of waiting.

my boss isn't happy that i can't travel for work.

damn.
