Hi.. Could you please let me know when your husband gets his passport back? I sent my passport around the same time and still no news. Something is wrong with my ecas too as the status of case still shows processing since May 2012, they never updated it and till date no matter what I sent (medical, police clearance etc.), nothing was updated.

I dont know how many of you are experiencing the same, but I think mine was the only one for which they never updated anything on ecas. Do share your experiences if it is related to mine.

I am sure you are right somthing is wrong. I was thinking to email the. Allah(swt) knows best, but waiting is unbearable. I hope we hear some good news soon.

Hmmm, so your eCAS has been showing "In Process" since May 2012, so that's almost 2 years...way too long, especially if you're not in the interview queue.

When things are out of the norm, *usually* something might've gone wrong (not saying that something went wrong with your application, but who knows). For example, when my spouse submitted her application back in Jan 2013, we expected to get an AOR from CPC-M within 30 days or less (that was other people's timeline). And 30 days had passed since our application was delivered to CPC-M, and I still got no AOR, and I was proactive and immediately contacted our MP to request for her intervention, and sure enough within a few weeks an officer from CPC-M called me to inform that our application forms vanished. Strangely enough, our relationship proofs arrived at CPC-M just fine (and we put them in the exact same box as the missing forms.......I know, bizarre eh....!)

If I were you, I'd take drastic measures such as contacting the MP, and getting a GCMS note.

Go here and input your or your spouse's Canadian postal code, to find out who your MP is:

and go ahead and contact the MP as soon as possible, to find out what's going on with your application. Make sure to inform the MP of your file number...

And get the GCMS note too....I'm not familiar with the exact procedure, but just use this forum's search function to find out how to get it...

Maybe they are waiting for the visas to be printed as one batch and to be returned to the visa office. Maybe that explains the delay? I'm just guessing here

Yes..I'm on the same boat..sent passport on 18th March..started crossing the fingers, now fingers r getting numb..

Well, Cangguru's wife's passport arrived in Singapore on 24 Jan, and she got it back (along with visa) on 24 March. So it took her 2 months to get it back...

If there was no mishap with her waybill, she could've got the passport back earlier, I think...

royalbd, there's another member from this forum that submitted on 19th March and he was told via email that the passport and visa is confirmed and will be sent to him. So yours is likely to come soon also!! keep us posted.

I mailed singapore office around December 2013 and they got back to me requesting for passport via email, there was no change on my ecas. I figured it must be some glitch or somebody is not updating the my statuses, as and when due.

So, now its been one month and one week to be exact I log on to ecas it still shows processing since May 2012, and thats it. How long do they usually take to give the passport back?

After a long waiting last Monday I got my ppr. So happy for that. And the passport already send to SVO through VFS.

No...in my wife's eCAS, it's still her (Indonesian) mailing address .

Oh okay, I didn't realise you had already sent your passport .

Well since the passport arrived in the SVO, it normally takes between 1 to 2 months for people to get back their passport (and up to 3 months in some extreme cases).

To put your details on the side: make sure you're logged in, and on the top menu, choose "Profile", and on the page that comes up next, choose "Forum Profile Information" .

I logged in my profile and at my profile page, I couldn't see the "next" tab where it allows me to input my details at the side. I am still new in this forum and not sure if this could be the reason.

There's no "Next" tab....basically what you do is, you click on "Profile", and then look for "Forum Profile Information" at the left hand sidebar....it's under "Modify Profile".

And if u have ever applied ur gcms notes ull see the visa officet who handled ur file has a code: AG00894
