My passport was received on 4th April. Gave them a prepaid Fedex envelop as well.

Hopefully they give me back soon..

Hello Everyone,
My wife application got sent to the Singapore processing office even though she is studying in California and I asked for her file to get processed in Los Angeles. I got approved as Sponsor on March 4th 2014. I am Canadian and my wife has a Bangladeshi Passport. Does anyone know the timeline I should expect (I know no one can tell exactly but a range would be nice). I also paid all my fees in one go to sort of "push" the process along.
Would greatly appreciate your help!

I am living in Canada (permanent resident). I applied for my wife last April 2013 Ottawa, and after approval its send to Singapore Canadian High Commission on May 2013. Online check shown Application received by them on May 08, 2013.
When I check the process time in Singapore High Commission website, shown it will take 30 months.

Please anyone let me know that's the original time for the application process time for spousal PR? Please......

Same here. Please keep me updated on any updates for yourself and I will do the same.

Hey everyone, I am expecting a baby boy on june 18th, who is in canada along with my wife. My remedical was done on March 6th. Still waiting for my PP request. I guess that is gonna follow shortly. But my question is as it is imperative fr me to b in canada for my baby's birth. Can I personally drop my passport in singapore and get it back early so i can travel to canada right away?

Please advise me if you have done or heard the same thing.

No it says on the instructions that they do not accept drop offs and it doesn't help you get it faster anyway unfortunately. You should email them and tell them about your circumstance. Have your wife wrote a letter and send ultrasounds with the expected due date on them maybe they will help you with the passport request and processing. Good luck and congrats ;)

Average processing times when interview is waived is actually around 15 months.
and if you are in the interview queue, will take 24+ months on average.
Ofcourse there are the good VO's who process even much faster and there are the ones that do take the full 26 months even if you do not fall in the interview list.
From what I have seen, it is totally luck.

I got the email last Friday.

IOM is no longer offering a service to send passports from Vietnam to the High Commission of Canada in Singapore. Until the new service starts, applicants have the option to send passports (together with any other requested documents) by secure, commercial courier DHL or FedEx.

kbean, it is so good to know they are almost done finalizing for Vietnam. There are so many of us waiting :(

Is their any one who apply in 12/11/2012....because is 17th month on response from SOV.....it's really depressing .....:(

I applied around same time, still waiting to hear from Singapore, on my gcms notes, they screened on 2013/03/04 , "no apparent concerned found, Next step file ready for officer to review and decision." Since then notting from them!

I have sent my hubby passport 1 month 13 days ago, should i e-mail singapore to ask how long it will take?

Hi.. Could you please let me know when your husband gets his passport back? I sent my passport around the same time and still no news. Something is wrong with my ecas too as the status of case still shows processing since May 2012, they never updated it and till date no matter what I sent (medical, police clearance etc.), nothing was updated.

I dont know how many of you are experiencing the same, but I think mine was the only one for which they never updated anything on ecas. Do share your experiences if it is related to mine.
