I received an email from Singapore stating that they are finalizing their systems for Vietnamese applicants.

Any idea what "systems" they're referring to? Just a bunch of procedures, or computer systems? Could it likely mean that the delay will affect non-Vietnamese applicants as well?

I just checked ECAS status of my wife's file and found status has been changed to "Decison Made - A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

But we still did not hear anything from Dhaka VFS office. I do not see any new update from VFS website by the tracking number they provided to my wife. We only see the update that Singpore office has received her passport on February 25th and the application is under process. Does anyone has an idea how long it takes to get the passport back after status changed to Decison Made?

Lets see how long it takes to hear something for VFS?

CIC is updating their passport submission procedures for Vietnamese applicants only. Non-Vietnamese applicants are not affected.

No we have not received any email update? Did you or your spouse received any update from SVO or Dhaka VFS? Did you check your status in ECAS & VFS website? I see you guys also sent the passport on the same day my wife did.

The passport was sent from vfs-dhaka the same as you did. both cic and vsf status is in process. As far as i know, cic sends an email to the sponsor confirming that the application has been finalized, when the visa is issued. We have not received any email yet.

What is the usual processing time for non-Singapore Citizens? I have been waiting for over a month but no answer back yet. Do they send the answer back to the sender or the officials in the Canadian Immigration office? I'm a little clueless with this process. Any information is appreciated! Thanks everyone.

A month since what? Sending your (or your spouse's) passport to Singapore?

The passport was sent from vfs-dhaka the same as you did. both cic and vsf status is in process. As far as i know, cic sends an email to the sponsor confirming that the application has been finalized, when the visa is issued. We have not received any email yet.

no they dont...vfs will text u when they recieve ur passport thts it

Provincial nomination usually have similar processing time as family sponsorship or just 1months difference. In feb 2012, processing time was 17months for provincial nominees

My wife is also waiting for her passport. SVO received her passport on Feb 25th and Status got changed to Decision Made on March 17th. Since then we have not heard anything from Dhaka VFS or SVO. Eagerly waiting to hear something from Dhaka VFS soon.

Dont wrry man! just chill enjoy the moment....passport is on its way! my cousin husbands passport was dispatched 3 weeks after DM...its random! just relax and tell ur wife to get ready!
