You all please send emails to Singapore Visa Office that you see from discussion forum in Canadavisa.com that Sept 2013 applications are being processed and your applications deserve to be processed before them as a matter of fairness and request them to process it immediately.

Dont email singapore! specially with reasons which mentions canadavisa...

Nothings gona happen..just wait who are waiting..thats the only thing you can do..when the time will come.it will happen..

What we did is go to a smaller shipping company that ships internationally, which had an account with DHL. They took care of it for us, but it was a major headache and the Singapore embassy did not respond to calls or emails about it.

What's the name of that smaller shipping company?

And how was it a major headache?

I got the request by mail. It came with all the photos that we sent with the original application.

Can you please have a look on the date of the letter? Which date they sent to you? Before or after your ECAIPS changes to IN PROCESS?

My spouse application is went on process February 14, 2014.... I haven't received anything from Singapore .... yet

finally.....anyone knows when's the next thing i will receive from them?

Fandv, it was a headache going around and dealing with shipping companies, trying to contact the embassy, etc. We got our police clearance almost exactly 60 days after the medical so we had to rush. We used Lima Jari in Bali, but any small shipping or import/export company will actually do their shipping through FedEx, DHL or another company. You can just ask any company that seems reputable.

So, does anyone have any experience of sending off their passport and having no news a month later, with ecas status still "application received?"

You should recieve a request for remeds (If expired), other documents such as a Police certificate as well as passport.

I guess not...

You mean your status on ECAS is still Application Recieved but they are requesting documents from you already? Shouldn't status be "in processing?"

Yup, our status has never changed from "application received" even though they requested remedical, police clearance, and my wife's passport, which DHL says was signed for by "Mabel" in Singapore on January 24th. I have emailed about it and no response.

My take is that so long they have sent an official letter or email requesting for your wife's passport and document and had been properly signed for then it shouldn't be a problem. I have read somewhere before that they take time to update ECAS statuses.

Besides they did mention that we should give an allowance of at least a month for processing once we've submitted our passports. Anybody has any idea so far what is the average time taken for the passport to be returned after submission?

You might get a request for a re medical if you sent yours in with your application and it has expired. Also in some case they request an update police clearance. Then a passport request is usually tied in with all of this. Watch for an email from Singapore... That's how my re medical was sent then the rest came via snail mail.

Guys...as you know, we're supposed to send a self addressed envelope when sending our passport to the CIC. Does the envelope have to be PREPAID...?

My wife (the sponsored person - Indonesian) called DHL and FedEx Indonesia, and they said they don't provide prepaid envelopes.

1. What to do then?! Is a self addressed (but not prepaid) envelope sufficient?

2. Which is safer: requesting the CIC to return the passport by courier, or by regular mail?

It has to be prepaid. You buy the envelope and fold it into the other envelope and send it. Otherwise they won't pay for you and it can cause them not to send it back. Or they will send by insecure mail because it's cheaper and may cause complications for you. You need to explain to the mail service why you need a prepaid service or how to contact someone who is able to do prepaid services.

Courier is always better because it is sent right to your house and won't be opened by the post office if they are suspicious of your package. It is also faster.

Is their anyone who ask for help from the local MP.because me and my husband want to contacted a MP.Do they really help us in the processing time or it might be risky and i am also applied in dec 12 since then no response from CO.
