This is timeline of my friend:

Applied to CIC-M: Aug -2012
Transfer to SVO: Sep - 2012
In process: 21 - Nov - 2013
Received package with ppr on 4 Dec 2013. She will do remedical on 9 Dec and send pp to them on 23 Dec 2013 (after 2 weeks)

guys need to expert opinion... as u knw my wife got the ppr + medical + schedule A + police certificate...

Anyway while filling up the schedule a Imm5669e ..in question. 6d they asked whether the applicant was denied visitors visa in canada or any other country..

Well i remember when i visited my wife in september 2013 for 3 weeks, we wanted a 8 days get away .. so we applied to thailand (bangkok) thru travelling agent and also dubai..

Due to pure carelessness of the agent she didnt get the thai tourist visa...so now i have to put "yes" in question 6d? then...i wonder whether its gona slow down the process?

she did get the dubai visa and we ended up having the most amazin time
in dubai..celebrated our second anniversary at burj al khalifa

Anyway but the denied thai visa.i wonder the implications

Some people suggested to put "no"
in that question as there is no refusal seal or anything in the passport..but the last thing we want is to lie or misrepresent....whatever happen wil happen..we should be thruthful to every question

I will just tell my wife to put "yes" and give a brief explanation.

I don't think it will slow down the process now... Make sure you do put the refuses TRV on the Schedule A as you wouldn't want it taken as misrepresentation

Hi Friends: I submitted my Passport today at the VAC (Visa Application Centre), VFS Global, Dhaka. Received the acknowledgement email (from VFS, Dhaka) too. Wish ALL of you, the BEST luck.

The visa officer has the ability to extend the medical if that is the only thing stopping the visa and COPR from being issued

do you have to do ILS? or any other english testing? we were told by the canadian embassy that thats a possibility but my husband went to Silpakorn and has a double degree from Birmingham... so i'm not sure if he has to do them.... ???

My application through SVO has been received on May 21, 2013 and showed on ecas Medical results have been received. No update since and my husband decided to send them email last week, this is their reply :

"Dear Sir,
This application is currently pending final review, after which we will contact the applicant directly to advise the outcome of the review and any next steps."

Thought any of you can give me an idea whats that mean or maybe had this info before, I submitted police record, I don't have kid and issue as far as I know , I haven't request for gcms note yet.

review means that its not in process yet rite?

I have no idea if this means that we are at the long part of the waiting but they said they are trying to processes them as quickly as possible to make up for the strike and the backlog.... :-[ we applied for gcsm notes just the other day

I applied for TRV online for my wife on November 19, 2013. She received a letter yesterday saying that she has got the visa. I guess my waiting time is over.

Whats a TRV? is that a traveling visa? we have applied for visas but they get refused :S

Thank you for your info Sammikens! reading all the process from previous members I think it's a bit early for me to request for gcms note, will try next month after Christmas holiday and new year maybe they will have new spirit too! btw TRV is Temporary Resident Visa..it is Travel/Visit visa

I do not know if it is in first or second review. With your timeline look like they are doing Final o r Third review to see if you pass eligibility or not.
If you pass eligibility to be sponsor then your application will go IN PROCESS for next step Background and Security check.

If not then you may receive an interview letter or ask for more supporting documents.

if you have time read their Manuel then you may find your answer.

End of January you may see neither one of three IN PROCESS on ecas or ask more supporting document or interview letter.
I guess from my experience it will not be accurate as your case. All cases are vary one to other.
