We made the mistake of submitting our medical and criminal records check with our application. It's rare to finish the process in a year. I tried to get my husband to redo the medical when we went in process but IOM refused to let us do it until they could see the formal request from CImuch C.I don't mean to depress you, but we applied Aug 31st 2011 and just received the request for criminal and medical redo, and they keep increasing the 'estimated' processing time which is now at 28 months from when Singapore receives it, though sometimes it's faster, it can also occasionally be slower. Immigration is an exercise in patience. They will not update you along the way. If you want to know what's going on with your file or see the progress, order the notes through atip. It will give you a sense of progress.

We sent our meds and police report with the application because we were advised by the YMCA to do so

I applied for TRV online for my wife on November 19, 2013. She received a letter yesterday saying that she has got the visa. I guess my waiting time is over.

Her ecas change to "in process" on 21 Nov and she's got package today. Just update for Vietnam's applications.

O oh good news! I think they are in conspiracy with the airlines to make all the visas come so we can't book a flight til January, the most expensive time of the year to fly SE Asia to NA. Sigh

My sponsorship was approved with in about two months then the strike happened I just emailed them about 2 weeks ago to ask what was going on, they told me that it'test s pending final request. We have a son who is Canadian and I was accepted into college so maybe that's why it's faster?

Unfortunately, though it seems not for you, a child can actually contrary to what is logical, slow the process. Sometimes they want DNA tests. Our friend has a kid with his Canadian wife and landed now but took 4 months longer than us and DNA and two interviews good grief. Luckier for you I hope!

I don't know y they don't return my passport , 10 days passed since Decision Made, I want to reserve ticket but I don't know when my passport will be in my hand :-\

How did you know visa issued Nov 13? From notes? You scare me about that. I hope you get it soon! So cruel really. We are at the end like a house to the barn. Just wasn't it to be fast and over. When you wait so long, the last part is the worst. Any news yet? Keep us posted. Crazy making!

Ha ha. Really got to check these things over esp tired after a really long days work. Horse to the barn, and just want it to be fast and over... is what I meant.

They have send me an Email , they said my visa has been issued and want to return my passport just they need to check my passport my address
But good news is that i have checked FEDEX just now they have send my passport ,hopfully after 2 days will be in my hand .

We haven't received anything from SVO since our status went "in process"

If our mess expire does that mean we need a new medical? Hat would take even longer wouldn't it... And also it expires cause they went on strike... That's not our fault.

The visa officer has the ability to extend the medical if that is the only thing stopping the visa and COPR from being issued
