Hi Sama2012, in your letter from SVO, did they say that after 6 weeks of remedical, if they do not contact us (which means our medical result is passed), then just send the passport with other docs to them. Diyabrar and me and others have the same instructions. I wonder why u need to wait for their request of passport?

Sama's Visa officer is diffrent..each officer has their own work process..anyway...

As the holiday season arrives..the officers will be coming home for atleast couple of weeks..so dont expect too many news in the month of december

good luck to all of us :)

Don't worry. You applied les than a year ago. If you already went in process, count yourself lucky. If not you may have a ways to go. Again if you want to know what's going on, go onto ATIP site and order notes. Good luck!

We have already ordered the notes twice and have ordered again now that we are 'in process'
Our concern was that everyone that went into process in November seems to have rec'd word from Singapore

No not yet ... like I told before... they have been asking for police certificate from Canada because my wife was here for more 6 months.. something I did in september.... After that I did not receive any news from them since... But I did make a request for my GCMS... that I just received last friday... and I saw that security, eligibility and medical are passed now... the result was different from the one I had 2 months ago. Just wish that everything is set for a good news.. Yes I did send a e-mail last week... but no news since... Should I send a email again or it would be wise to wait a little bit more...

Hi Viruta57,

looks like you got your re-medical on May 2013. Did you get your passport request yet? if not, did you email to SVO for your PPR? I did but did not get any reply from SVO.

Hi Littestar,

No SVO did not ask PPR after 6 weeks of remedical. That is the procedure that we can not send the PPR without their request or instruction.

I'm sorry is your wife in Canada now? If yes then yes just wait. Because you are not separated at this point, it might be a little longer. You have to realise that they are dealing with a backlog of those who are separated

My husband's Thai, I am the sponsor and we just received the letter today that I can sponsor him and that everything has been sent to Singapore. Great to see this thread. Hope to see someone post some good news soon.

How did you get yours so fast? We have applied since January this year and still nothing, I emailed them and I got a response saying it's pending final review... My husband is also Thai!

I don't know y they don't return my passport , 10 days passed since Decision Made, I want to reserve ticket but I don't know when my passport will be in my hand :-\

Heya Littestar, thanks for the fast response! I don't know how to post my timeline but will learn. We applied in December 2012, application received January 31, 2013, nothing since then until now.

They did ask for passport but also other documents and said the application is "in the final stages" but nothing is guaranteed. I'm not sure what it all means but hope that they won't make us wait another year while they hold my wife's passport!

Hey!

That's great news, ours was received in February and I sent an email asking them what was going on since no news, I got an email saying in was pending final review but still no requests... Hope something happens soon...

What is AOR. Received?

14 days until our meds expire :(
I was hoping this might be a trigger date for SVO... but it doesn't look like it

If our mess expire does that mean we need a new medical? Hat would take even longer wouldn't it... And also it expires cause they went on strike... That's not our fault.

She is talking about the her ability to sponsor, that takes one or two months, then the real waiting begins. Is that what you are talking about or are you talking about PR approval? Because if your case is pending final review for your application, you've gone very quickly.

We made the mistake of submitting our medical and criminal records check with our application. It's rare to finish the process in a year. I tried to get my husband to redo the medical when we went in process but IOM refused to let us do it until they could see the formal request from CImuch C.I don't mean to depress you, but we applied Aug 31st 2011 and just received the request for criminal and medical redo, and they keep increasing the 'estimated' processing time which is now at 28 months from when Singapore receives it, though sometimes it's faster, it can also occasionally be slower. Immigration is an exercise in patience. They will not update you along the way. If you want to know what's going on with your file or see the progress, order the notes through atip. It will give you a sense of progress.

My sponsorship was approved with in about two months then the strike happened I just emailed them about 2 weeks ago to ask what was going on, they told me that it's pending final request. We have a son who is Canadian and I was accepted into college so maybe that's why it's faster?
