Here's the brief timeline:

Application sent to CIC - Mississauga : July 25, 2012
App. Transferred to SVO : November 18, 2012


I recently got my GMCS note and I am assigned to the officer to officer RC-9570, it was assigned through officer GL01834.

APPLICATION STATUS - OPEN/APPLICATION STATUS REASON: IN PROGRESS

MEDICAL - PASSED - EXPIRED

SECURITY - NOT STARTED

CRIMINALITY - NOT STARTED

I have THREE concerns found in my GMCS notes.

1. RPRF - OUTSTANDING

2. CSCD not entered as no biodata on photos

3. Imm5476 use of a representative form : not on file. FOSS CHECKS: completed for sponsor applicant and relatives in Canada ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENTS : all required documents on file· ADMISSIBILITY DOCUMENT: outstanding doc to be requested later

File ready for officer review and decision

My question is what should i do next? For our application we did not involve any third party representative so i don't understand why they would ask for it ? should i wait for them to request the documents or should i send it in advance? RPRF - OUTSTANDING? I thought when it is in final stage that's when i have to make the other half payment?

HELP would be much appreciated! THANKS! ;D

Ur GCMS note is almost similar as mine. Even my file has been transferred to VO RC-9570 by another VO.

IMM 5476 may be need to fill up for everyone even though u dnt have any representative (my opinion )may b I m wrong. But as u did not pay RPRF fee, dnt worry they will request u later before submitting ur passport.

One question- whats the date there for " file ready for officer review and decision " in ur GCMS note!! ??
And plz share us if u get any update ...

My wife in Dhaka just got the the passport request for Visa Issue after she sent her re-medical and police clearance in September.
Seems like you can send passport by courier or Visa Application Center in Dhaka.
Do you have any recommendations on what is the more efficient and safe way.
I am concerned over processing (as well travel to) VAC Dhaka with recent political situation. So thinking about courier, but interested in your thoughts based on experience.

Congratulations for your good news. Congrats to your wife also. Can you please share your wife's timeline?
How did your wife got her passport request? via email or mail?
If I am not wrong, your wife got an email for her remed and Police Clearance from SVO in August or September. Is it correct? Was there any direction to send the PPR after 6 weeks of her remed? or there was nothing mentioned about the PPR? Please let me know she got the PPR in separate email or not (I mean separate email from the remed and police clearance)?
Reason I am asking you this question because I did my Remed and police clearace in July. Still did not get my PPR.

I think VAC is safe. Another way VAC is good for her because she lives in Dhaka
I am really happy for her.

Hi Toyna,

- First of all, u need to have UCI (Unique Client Identification) number, which u can find in the letter from CIC sent to u once they accepted your application.
- Log in to cic.gc.ca and enter your information requested.
- Through Ecas, you can check your file status for Step 1 (Sponsor) and Step 2 (Permanent Residence).

There is 3 ways to check Status:
1, wd sponsor UCI number ,
2, sponsored UCI number ,
3, wd ur application File number.

you are probably putting your UCI and Sponsored person's DOB, Last name and etc. If you are using urs UCI, then enter your last name, DOB and place of birth and etc(If you are the sponsor, or who ever) ...should work

Congratulations on your wife's getting Passport request.

In my opinion, VFS is the best option. They send the Passport by DHL but you are given a ID number that you can use to check progress online. Also, they text you when the package arrives at their office so that the person can pick it up.

For other applicant's benefit here, share your file's timeline so that others can compare how they are doing in terms of timeline. Thanks.

Hi Sohana,

You check by file number is same as UCI number, just choose application file number and input it Fxxxxxxxx. Then input sponsored surname, DOB, place of birth.

It takes 5$ only to order GCMS notes. I see many persons received news from SVO, I think you are too. Good luck to you and all of us.

No, it takes only 5$. When you order online, no need to fill form IMM 5563E, only fill consent form IMM 5744 and sign by applicant or person to be sponsored. Note to choose electronic file you will be sent it via email. You should choose access to information act.
