Hi Toyna,

- First of all, u need to have UCI (Unique Client Identification) number, which u can find in the letter from CIC sent to u once they accepted your application.
- Log in to cic.gc.ca and enter your information requested.
- Through Ecas, you can check your file status for Step 1 (Sponsor) and Step 2 (Permanent Residence).

Hope this info is useful to u.

My wife got the same instructions and forms. After she did her re-medical, she waited adjactly 6 weeks and mailed her passport and appendixes via VFS in Dhaka.

As per your profile time line it took 6 months to transfer your file to SVO. Usually it doesn't take that long? If you don't mind do you let us know why your application took longer time than usual to approve sponsorship from Mississauga cic office?

Hey guys, I did a small calculation and have a big concern.
- The date issuing the remedical request is 12 Nov. And they request to submit other docs and pp 6 weeks after. For example if I manage to do it on 28 Nov soonest. So, after 6 weeks, I will submit on 9th Jan, 2014.
- On the other hand, they also mention to complete all the requirements 60 days from the date issuing this letter (12 Nov), which is latest by 11 Jan.
- 9th and 11th are too close...I wonder if we can send those earlier or we need to strictly follow their instructions.

Any thoughts from you?

The 6 weeks time requirement is a safe time duration for the SVO. They expect to receive the medical report within that time. Also I am guessing once someone sends their Passport they want to process it right away, but if information or supporting documents are missing then SVO have to hold the passport for the documents and it might fall in a que. So, it will be safe to wait out the 6 weeks to my understanding.

I do Not know why it take so long time to Transfer SVO.........

Wow... things are shaking in Singapore :)

Question
Is everyone receiving their remedical request via snail mail or has anyone received via email?

Congrats everyone !!

Thanks Rosindo and Cndmom for your replies!
May I ask where are you applying for your visa from? I'm applying from Vietnam.

Hi VietCan,

I think you can apply via Canadian Embassy (or is it called Consulate General of Canada?) in Vietnam. There is a third party called VFS Global that helps to collect and send your application. Again, I'm not allowed to post any links here. You can google with keywords such as "VFS Global Canada" etc.
