Here is the link to order the notes
If you are a Canadian Citizen you can order them from outside the country
You are requesting the notes for your wife and she will need to sign the consent form
It costs $5 and request the electronic files... much quicker

There is also a December thread that you might be interested in
There are 3 or 4 of us on that thread going through Singapore

Thanks very much for the info, cdnmom (Canadian mom?). The link didn't come through but I think I found it, through ATIP. Also found the other thread, which gives me some hope, although it shows me that Singapore is living up to its reputation as the slowest. Congratulations on being in process too!

Hi Cangguru,

I'm also Indonesian sponsored by my husband. We also had the similar problem, applied since Nov '12, I received email from CIC that they have received my application on December 2012. No other info since. We kept waiting and checked e-cas every week, until September 10th, 2013, when my husband made a call to CIC call centre. It took about 20 minutes until somebody finally answer. Turns out they hadn't touch my husband application as a sponsor. Less than 24 hour after the call, my husband received an email from CIC with UCI and Application number stating that he is eligible to sponsor me. After that, our fate is in Singapore VO.
You could try the same thing as my husband did, phone the CIC call centre. I don't know if the same phone number works for Canadian overseas but you probably ask somebody in Canada to represent you.

Oh, yeah one more thing, the CIC website for the call centre says:

"Note that agents cannot:
answer questions about application status once it is sent to a Canadian visa office outside Canada"

Now I'm extra confused.

Hi guys,

about two weeks ago, my wife's ecas changed to "in process". Then a few days later, she received an email requesting her to redo her medical exam. She did the exam yesterday. Also yesterday, she received some great news by mail; she received a package with the original documents we supplied in our application along with a document containing this page :

Page 1 (the letter was apparently posted on November 6th, corresponding to the date she received the email requesting to do remed)

So we're almost done :)

was it emailed?

sobar hocche, amari je keno kono update nai...

feeling stressed :( :( :(

but overall i m happy for u guys who get their :) news.

No, that document was sent by regular mail, it's an 8 pages document containing instructions to send passport along with other forms. There are also instructions to redo the medical test, but they had also sent those re-med instructions by email.

To stelam, how long since the processing date stated in ECAS that you received the package through mail. Mine is processing in Nov 12, 2013...

Hi,

ECAS changed to "in process" on October 29th, then my wife received remed request e-mail on November 7th. Then, she received this passport request package (by regular mail) on November 19th and it says it's been posted on November 6th, corresponding to the date they sent their email requesting re-med.

So I think your wife/hubby should be receiving an email or a letter pretty soon :)

ecas only changes into process when interview is waived..

So just found out one of the member from another thread with same Visa officer as mine (Reason i know it cause she applied for GCMS notes too) file got "inprocess" now

Her timeline:

Application Filed- August 31 2011
Application transferred to Singapore: November 2011
Initial Review: July 2012---- Eligibility : Recommend WAV, Notes: Interview Waive, relation bonafide, File ready for officers review"
In process: November 15th 2013

So ecas in process after 24 months singapore received the file.

I JUST PRAY NO ONE EVER GET THE VISA OFFICER SOME OF US GOT......AND THE REASON FOR MY POST IS IF YOU FILE IS TAKING TIME REMEMBER SINGAPORE HAS A TIMELINE OF 26~28 MONTHS....SO EVEN WITHOUT INTERVIEW IT MIGHT TAKE THAT LONG...THERE IS A REASON THEY PUT THAT TIMELINE...90% OF THE TIME IT WONT...IT WILL TAKE LESS THAN 12 TO 15 MONTHS...BUT 10% IT WILL TAKE THE FULL PROCESSING TIME...AND TAKING THIS LONG DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN UR APPLICATION HAS RED FLAG.

Let me end my post with a touch of "Singapore Visa Office"

I trust this information will be off your assistance ;P

I think we are in the same boat...:-(((. 26 months waiting time...

Heya Rosindo! Before your husband called and was approved, did you have a UCI and an account on ecas? Cdnmom, who has been very helpful, suggested that if my wife is already on ecas and has a UCI, it means that I have already been approved as a sponsor, and other threads seem to indicate that too, but I am not 100% sure, so I'm a bit worried. My family has tried to call the CIC line on my behalf but has had trouble and they make it clear that they do not want overseas calls. I'll try to ask them to call again though.

Anyway, best of luck to you and hope the weather is nice where you are. Here in Bali it has been raining all day.

Hi Cangguru,
Yes I have both the UCI and account on ecas, but at that time we had no idea because nothing change on my application status. Just like you, we were concern about why my husband never received any confirmation on whether he is eligible as a sponsor or not.
I'm currently in Regina, Saskatchewan on multiple entry visa and also waiting for my visitor extension application status. This whole waiting game has been depressing, but at least I'm with my husband. I read that some applicants have to live separately from their spouses for years.

About the notes on their website, they also told my husband the same thing. Thanks to this forum, at least now we know what to expect. I probably would order the notes one day.

Best of luck to you and your family too. To be honest, the Indonesian weather is what I've missed the most :)
