Hi Everyone,

I am really happy to announce that my wife has recently got her passport back with visa by the grace of God.

Here's the brief timeline:

Application sent to CIC - Mississauga : Early July, 2012
App. Transferred to SVO : Late Sep, 2012
Ppt with visa in hand : Early Nov, 2013

Total Processing time : 16 months
Total Processing time for SVO : 13.5 months

congrats torontoguy44..

Good luck Everyone! If you are still waiting for some news from SVO, I hope you hear something soon!

Thanks cdnmom for correcting me. I didn't know that she is the sponsor and Canadian Citizen. In that case there shouldn't be any problem to have the baby born in Canada. If she comes to Canada and gives birth then Smahmud can apply for a TRV showing that he wishes to attend the birth of his child. And it would be a very legit and strong ground.

hi pips,

can somebody please share with me how long does sgvo reply to inquiry by applicants?

thanks and appreciated if somebody shed light on this.

Be careful with advise you provide
His wife does not need a visa as he has indicated she is the sponsor... she can go to Canada at any time
If the baby is born in Canada which is their intention.. the baby will automatically be a Canadian Citizen so no need to apply for the child's citizenship. There is nothing that has to be done with the application at this point... they may have to add the child on as a dependent after the child is born.

Good luck to all

Thanks, your reply was helpful. We are planning the same thing, TRV if needed. I am just wondering if there is anyway we can accelerate the process time. We just hope we will hear something before my child's birth better yet before my wife leaves for canada for the delivery. :( :( :( :(

Hi people. I applied for my husband's spouse sponsorship as follows:
August 2012: applied
October 2012: file forwarded to SVO and medicals received (he had them done and submitted together with out spouse sponsorship application)

Have not heard a thing since!

I visited him in Bangladesh this past summer May-August 2013. So last month, we sent them additional evidence of our lasting marriage.

I think I'll inquire right after Christmas.

Should I inquire online or by email?

Thx for your help people!

Apply for GCMS notes...if the first stage initial screening is done...and it says " recommend passed" then there is no point sending additional doc....otherwise you can...

I went to see my wife 7 times in the last two years after marrage...only send them once..then i gave up...i mean there is no point....if its passed initial screening

I hope we all get some good news by today :)

Hi samkh:

Have you received your passport back yet ? Please update.

I wonder how many VO's they have at Singapore. Regardless of their number they better be working very hard and have files piled up like crazy. Otherwise there is no justification for this delay.

yesterday i have seen in fb march applicants..in Philippines apparently its Visa Raining :( for bangladesh i dont see at all anything....:(

It has to be discrimination against the Bangladeshis, especially muslims. They have a hidden agenda for sure.

lol no i dont think so..lots of them in phillipine are muslim as far as i know.It is the situation in bd and as well as how fast the bd govt are releasing information to singapore visa office as for their inquary
