So I got my GCMS note and I read through the whole notes at least 100 times and this is my take on it.....So my approval from Mississauga came on May 16th 2012...and guess what the file reached Singapore on June 18th 2012..(1 month! Wow) anyway...

File was first reviewed by an officer on 12th September 2012...and for eligibility he wrote “Recommend Passed” and on the notes he wrote “No apparent concerns found, file ready for review and decision”

File was then transferred to another officer on October 2012....from that time onwards no activity..no new note or anything..

I am a bit positive that I might get saved from an interview...but never know what the second office thinks so finger crossed...

Hi Diyabrar, mine said bit similar with some additional comments. The last update was done on 19th dec 2012, said RECOMMEND PASSED for Eligibility, and in text said :IMM5476 Use of Representative form not on file, FOSS check completed on applicant and sponsor, Eligibility Documents : All reqd docs on file, Admissibility Documents: outstanding docs to be requested later: Updated, PC Initial Review: Officer to note the following potential concern-* no traditional wedding ceremony conducted, *no apparent concerns found, File ready for officer to review and make decision.

Since 21st jan 2013 file went " In process", after that nothing. However, for security and criminality it said NOT STARTED. Also, the due date written for eligibility is 20th august 2013 which is one year from the date when the sponsorship got approved. So not sure if the due date means they are not going to touch the file before that date(?). I just sent them some recent pictures of formal wedding reception we had in India and also the form IMM5474 taking her signature and me as the representative. This is weird as i thought as a sponsor i would have authority to access the file since my name is listed as client #2.

Also, for client Details 1 ( primary applicant) for Counterfoil Required it says NO. Since she is not from a visa exempt country to Canada, i thought she do require a counterfoil.

Hi Neel:

Year my notes says: FOSS CHECKS: completed for sponsor, applicant eligibility documents: all required docs on file, INITIAL REVIEW: officer to note the following concerns: No apparent concerns found, File ready for officer review and decision

My counterfoil also says NO

My ecas still shows application received though…..but the second officer hasn’t started yet…last update on my file was September 2012….which was the first officer’s initial review where he noted “Recommended Passed” for eligibility

But whats your status said for the Security and Criminality check? and also whats the due date written on ur eligibility?

Just out of curiosity - for those of you who received re-med request and PPR, were you asked to wait 2 weeks between doing the re-med before submitting your passport?

i got the remedical request @ 27 Dec 2012 but didn't got any passport request yet.. its more then 6 weeks..
e-cas status showing.. madical have been received. :'( :'(

On Wednesday, 20 Feb 2013 @ 1645hrs, I received a phonecall. It was from Canadian High Comm saying that my passport and COPR is ready for collection! I collected it from the office the very next morning and am resigning from my job today! Took them 7 weeks to hold my passport. sheesh.

Don't worry about ecas status too much. It was never really accurate for me. Now that my process is over, it still says "in process". No "medical had been received" nor "Decision Made".

It has been a really tough journey for all of us and I thank each and everyone of you for sharing your experiences and timeline here. It has definitely helped me. And for those still awaiting for your PPR or your passports returned, I wish you all the best and may your waiting come to a happy end.

Total time since application: 16 months

Congratulations! All the best to your future in Canada with your family.

Did you ask SVO why it took so long to grant a visa? Good that you didn't need to travel elsewhere; but for my wife, she has missed two business trips overseas due to having no passport. SVO has been holding her visa for months now.

I'm glad to hear your news. I hope my wife will hear from them in days.

No, it didn't cross my mind to ask them. I think they are handing out PPRs and passports because there were quite a lot of people in the queue that morning. I hope you get some good news soon too!

hi
We received an envelope this morning from the Singapore office and inside was all of our "relationship evidence"..you know what i mean, all our pictures, phone bills, copies of emails and all the kind of thing we submitted to them. no letter from them or any kind of correspondence was included. Has anyone else got this?

thanks and good luck to those who received positive news lately!!!
