Hi All, anybody received letter from Singapore Immigration recently?
I received a letter from Singapore Immigration today and it's confusing me.
They asked me to do medical exam again while my medical is only expire on 01 of May 2013.
And also they asked me to sent 4 recent passport sized photos and passport in twoo weeks after completing my medical examination.
But they dont ask for my Police clearance which I believe is already expired.
Any idea why ?

Anyway here is my time line
App : In the beginning of June 2012
Sponsor Approved : In the beginning of Aug 2012
Medical : 01 May 2012
In process : 18 Jan 2013

Thanks.

That is so weird for them to ask for re medicals. My timeline looks very similar like you and went in process from Jan 21st. My wife did her medicals in May, 2012. However, we din get any letter from singapore yet. But now after u mentioned about the letter, i will not be surprised if we do get one. Asking for your passport is definitely good news for you, but still i believe asking for re medical is a trick for immigration to make money. Did the doctor tell you that everything was ok when the medical was done? As far as the police clearance i heard its very very rare they ask for that re assesment. But again, everything is case specific.

Hi and congratulations! The reason i think of why they ask to do remedical even tough yours expires in may, is maybe because they do not know if the rest of the process will be completed by then or maybe simply because they dont want to give rush to travel to canada, so doing remedical will mean you have one more year that you can spend backhome or just take your time to fly. That is my idea, or as the person below said its a way to make mooney XD

They took my husband police clearance when he presented at the interview his was expired, i see most of the time they ask a new one when it expires, so maybe what you can do is send the police clearance to visa office at the same time incase they ask you one at a later date?just giving my opinion.

Hi Neel09, the docter said everything was fine with me when I did my med last year. I just hope that evrything will be allright when i re do my med. Thanks for your opinion. I really appreciate it. hope you dont have to re do your med

Hi Shiny, thanks for your oponion. You are very helpfull in this forum. I will sent them my police clearance as soon as possible. I just hate that i have to re do my med and it's cost money too.
Congratulation for your new born princess. i hope your waiting is over soon.

i Received the GCMS notes today from cic regarding the application status of my wife. As i said before i applied for sponsorship on 19th june 2012, approved sponsorship on 20th august 2012 and then files transferred to Singapore. On 21st June ECas status changed from Application Received to " In Process".

From the GCMS notes it shows that the latest text that was put on 19th dec 2012 read this:
IMM 5476 Use of a Representative Form : Not on file,
FOSS CHECKS : Completed for sponsor, applicant
ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENTS: All required docs on file
ADMISSIBILITY DOCUMENTS: Outstanding docs to be requested later
Updated PC INITIAL REVIEW: Officer to note the following concerns, * No traditional wedding ceremony conducted, * No apparent concerns found , File ready for
officer review and decision.

We did not have traditional wedding but after one year we did had a reception party in my country and i will send them the pics. However there are some mistakes in the notes:

1. The sponsor's ( me) Birth date is typed wrong.
2. For my wife it says Counterfoil not required. By counterfoil i assume the visa sticker that will be put on the passport. Counterfoil not required is only for citizens of visa exempt countries and my wife being from indonesia needs a visa, so i beleive its wrong type.

Regarding the first point of the text mentioned before that form IMM 5476 was not on file. Last time we did not send that form as we din engage anyone on behalf of her. On Ecas for her application, my address in canada is showing. Do we need to send them the filled IMM5476 now where she can put my name who can do the correspondence on her behalf?

We also need to send them a letter telling to fix the sponsor's date of birth and send them some additional pictures which we took in our reception party. Can i send those or she needs to send those. Or if i send those, i need that filled IMM5476 form from her too?

They did not ask anything yet from us till now but seing the notes we are planning to send those in ahead of time to escape from the interview request if possible.

Please advise, anything would help:) Thanks

HUnter v have u receubed ur pp back?

.. and to add to my last post: the security and criminality shows not started yet.

I could find several errors in that notes but i can live with those, only my wrong DOB and her counterfoil not required statement is bothering. In general the 27 pages notes is unclear at some points, whoever worked on our file to input the data is pretty dumb

Finally received the letter from Singapore Visa Office asked me to send my passport... lol...
But it seen to be having some problem with my medical reassessment, they do request me to do a re-scan on chest X-ray.

Anyway, still happy... lol ;D
