My husband sent an email to singapore and they replied within 24 hrs..Awsome. I quoted the email:

"File is still in process.

We trust this information will be of assistance."

I am confused now what it means. Is it a good or bad sign? How long it may wait any idea? My ecas status shows 'Application received and medical received".

I cant tell if its a good sign or bad, all i know is that they are working on your file somehow, because your application is received(but they email back saying is still in process).Hopefully
you will get request for pass. soon.

Anyways no news for me about CAIPS; it was sent by post canada the 2of March today is the 4April, GREAT. Now is CONFUSING TIME for caips lol :-X I sent something t my husband by post canada same day they said 4-6weeks and he just received it today. So to my understanding, stuff going abroad is faster than paperwork sent within the same province. LMAO what a joke!!

So your eCAS says "Application Received" and not "In Process"? I was told that when my wife's status changed to "In Process" with medicals received, it was a sign that PPR was soon to follow, and lo and behold, it did. Not sure what it means when the status is still at "Application Received", but since they said the file is still in process, it could still be a good sign. They might not have had enough time to finalize your case before the medicals expired, in which case the next step could be a request for updated medicals and then a PPR, or even both at the same time.

Shiny88,

Did they say what is the # of current queue for Interview in CHC Dhaka?
One of my sources say that it could take a year from now to have your Interview scheduled. Everyday, a Visa office conducts around 3-5 Interviews.

Hello dear,The approximate time to wait for an interview is 24months for Singapore, i dont know what you mean by number of current queue for interview in canadian high commission in dhaka. And i dont where to find that information too.I read on op2 that interview are scheduled once or twice a year for different embassy so i dont know the real fact ,if thats how it really is.And how do you know they conduct,3to5interview a day?because some people received the interview letter around the same month as mine and allready had their interview. so even for the interview its not first come first serve.I will never understand the process of this whole Immigration joke.Is there any source you can link me to.Thanks

So, wife just got her passport back with her visa stamped. Just have to do her first landing. Flying back to Toronto on the 10th.

We can finally live a normal life!

How to fill out appendix A with passport submission.

Hi all,
New to the forum, and have a question about the appendix A that you submit with ur passport. It says "Please complete this form for yourself, your spouse and dependent children. Return the completed form to us with your passports. Do not send passports for nonaccompanying family members".
I am a bit confused on whether I should fill the form with my spouse's information. He lives in canada being a canadian citizen and won't be travelling with me. No children yet. Please advise. Thanks.
