Well what you did, you thought wud be good to have a job and income. Which was not a bad idea, and didnt think that wud take such a long time. So dont blame ureself, I also try to find out sometime questioning myself, why My file went for interview where other goes quickly. Its so stressful.

why they wait 9 months to put interview list? if they need interview they could have asked it for earlier. well, this is just our valid question and I dont think it will change anything.

Your big mistake you did not earlier. If you do apply earlier 2010 will take 5-7 months max and no interview. I have few friend they apply that time no interview and fill process complete within 5-7 months. and 2011 is a bad year Singapore ask for more interview. Now i am worry for my wife hope Interview will not bite her. Wish me. And good luck to you.
I saw one of my friend neighbour received interview letter from Singapore Jan 2011 and interview done in Dhaka May 2011, so it could take about 5-8 months.

what you mean by document requested???on your time line??? they didnt ask us to send any additional doument or anything just sent everything back to my husband............................... :-\

they wanted to know whether i applied for UK pr, and what visa status i had in uk during 2008-2011. i answered and submitted my uk work permit visa and proof that i worked 2 years as a mechanical engineer in uk after my Msc degree there. SG sent back all the proofs with that letter and after few days it went in process.

dont worry too much, u dont have to wait for 24 months, usually for bangladeshi applicants they fix interview date with 4/5 months. u should order CAIPs notes to see why they have asked u for interview. good luck

Thanks for the support, Caips is another way to give them money, i guess either i know the reason or not it wont make any difference that he is still on the waiting list, maybe i will, lets see thanks! i hope your things get done soon too

You should know the cause of interview. So your spouse can take preparation. If you are not well prepared may be the refuse... Now you cant beleive singapore. It seems they are issuing interview randomly. Hope Allah helps us to come over these hardles of life.

Nothing change neither me or my sister. My additional document not yet arrive Singapore. I think i will get some answer for both of us. Pray for me.
Ottawa returns back my GCMS request because i need to send another form authorize from my wife. Now i am waiting for that signature paper and will send back again.
And i may know too also if Singapore take positive or negative with my additional documents i did send.

One of my friend wife sends passport for Visa stamp by Dhaka to Singapore already 9 weeks no answer from Singapore Vo.Normally takes 4-6 weeks max for visa stamp. It's mean until you get visa stamp we can not say complete and happy.

oh yeah lol but when you are waiting for a loved one 5months its like 5life time ...i will maybe try caips, but ive gathered a lots of information of our relationship since i sent the application to missisauga. 2,3hours of talking on my cell, skype...sent him money and stuff like that... but see the application is in english, do you when they give option to be interviewed in english or bangla, see my hubby is more coonfortable with bangla then english... thanks i hope the best for everyones file..including mine.. ???

Missisauga received application to sponsor: february 9,2011 Accepted as a sponsor: march 9, 2011 Singapore Received application for permanent resident: march 17,2011 Singapore sent proofs and letter for wait interview date: october 19,2011

and on cic website its still on (application received) the letter my husband received says that he is on the interview waiting list for the next 24months??! :-[

and i see some peoples processing time is so quick ,but what happened to mine? ive seen that some people that sent their file before me their partner has allready received passport and even landed? thats not fair i thought it was first come, first served... :-X

its very depressing.................. why it is this way ,cant they feel our pain those officer working there...lol i think i will change my career and change to become a immigration officer toknow what tha hell they do beside eating their donuts and wasting time.

Hi everyone, I’m new on the forum. I’m sponsoring my wife and Singapore received my application in February 2011. Since then, nothing happened.

Here’s a short background of my story to give you a picture of my case. In July 2010, my uncle introduced me to the daughter of his sworn brother. I talked with her on the phone for the first time on July 24th 2010. We get along immediately; we share the same interests, we have the same age, a University degree in the same field, etc., and the most important of course, we are mutually attracted to one another. In short, we have many things in common and we believe that we are made for each other.

We talked on the phone for a month and by the end of August 2010, I proposed to her. Our engagement ceremony took place in September (without my presence, but 20 members of my family who live in Vietnam were there) and in November, I flew to Vietnam for the wedding with my grand-parents from USA and my dad. She did her medical exam a few days later. I stayed for 6 weeks over there. Here is the timeline:

Mississauga received application January 14th 2011
Files transferred February 9th 2011
Singapore received application February 17th 2011


Since then, radio silence. The processing has not started yet. It’s 10 months now, what the heck! :'(
