Unless they request interview I do not see any need for GCMS notes so far. Just chill 8) 8) 8)

I like to be informed about what is happening with my file.

singviet,

Resident GCMS notes expert, Eagle333, suggests waiting 4-5 months after you receive SA. Probably good advice. However, like ImABule, I also order notes regularly, immediately after getting the last set of notes. I am waiting for my third set of notes. Also, it is a little bit disappointing when not much is going on in the notes. But for $5, I figure it is a small price for keeping informed on something as important as this.

My wife is also from VN, so all the best!!!

errrmm does anyone know if vfs/cvac lets family member pick up the passport on applicants behalf?

All the best to you too!

And I agree: $5 is a small price to pay for at least a tiny glimpse into what's going on. Also, it was definitely worth the peace of mind because these notes confirmed I have SA, and that my wife's medical is done and passed. Both we were 99% were sure of anyway, but hearing it from the source is a huge relief. ;D

passport arrived at cvac today!! now have to wait 2 more days for weekend :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

oh and btw, i called vfs/cvac for my earlier question.
Answer:
With proper Authorization a family member/relative may pick up the passport on applicants behalf.
A formal letter where applicant will mention the receiver information and provide the same applicant's signature as passport. Also Applicant have to send an email to their info email. The same email address which applicant has used in application form. In application, applicant have to mention 3 points: 1. Why applicant is not able to come in VAC. 2. Receiver must be relative to applicant and mentions receiver's National ID or passport, 3. Applicant's ICR number passport number

That's all you sent??

Wow, I figured it would have been more haha.

That's called efficient and effective evidence!! I thought that was not much as well when I first read it. It is good news, hopefully, for the rest of us who have sent it more support!!

Definitely gives me hope since I sent in wife's facebook posts, photos, multiple trips outside of Vietnam together, chatlogs, sworn letters of support, the various wedding events. Gonna send them more shortly... hahahahah.

Exactly what u was thinking lol.

Well yeah. I sent in the application before discovering this website. Our chat logs are not very appropriate, mostly because I factory reset my phone a month before my wedding, and his phone has some weird storage issue. Only close friends knew about our relationship before our marriage, so posts are mostly from after wedding which honestly I did not even think of. We had three events. So I sent lots of pictures with families and friends printed on computer paper with captions.
I had all the receipts of wedding expenditure ready, but my friend who applied back in 2012 said don't bother. We went on honeymoon later, so was preparing to send in those pictures and receipts when we got the passport call.
Trust me before that I was freaking the heck out reading how much you guys have sent.

ohh I missed wedding invitation cards. An original copy from both mine and his family

moonlitnight,

You must have a done everything perfectly because you will be "reunited and it feels so good"!!

Happy landing soon!!!!
