IAmBule - Two fields in my GCMS notes are inaccurate (wife ordering of her name and my level of education). Think I should submit case specific enquiry giving them the correct information? Or don't bother?
I would. On ECAS they didn't have my wife's district and province in her address. I sent a case specific enquiry asking them to add it.

I wouldn't hope they request more documentation before issuing the interview letter if I didn't feel comfortable with what I sent already. If I was unsure, and had more solid proofs (like not just more call logs since I sent a lot already) I would just send it without them asking for it. I already did that once after I visited my wife. When I get my notes if there is even the smallest suggestion of doubt I will bombard them with more proofs.

Hi there,

They will notify you by email before four weeks of the interview. No one can predict when they will inform but the present trend of SVO indicates that you may get the intimation within six months or even earlier. I would recommend please address your red flags and send them additional relationship proofs. Also prepare yourself well for the interview.

Also please check this thread from time to time for in depth information and help:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-interview-questionaires-experience-preparations-t220698.0.html

Good luck!

Hasan
Thanks Hasan,
It's too late to send additional proof now because they said after that interview notification letter, they will not accept receiving anything else except changing my basic info

The wait game's still continuing :(

Hi ames,

They didn't ask me to send any proof or documentaions before they put us on interview list. It takes so fast since my file transfer, but I can guess why. My husband's study visa was denied twice in the past, so it's obvious to be put on interview list when officier reviews our case

All we can do now just waiting for GCMS notes coming next month (June 20) and see any redflags, then prepare for unknown time interview in the future.

I will keep you guys updated and I hope I can have more advices from you

I have a business in Canada, so it's hard to settle everything to come back to Vietnam and visit my husband around this time :(

Hi ThunderBay_vn:

GCMS notes will give you some ideas why they put your husband in the interview.
Check for red flags and see what you can do to solve those issues. I have seen many posts here in this forum where people sent additional proofs and got interview waiver in some cases. Have patience and organise well to succeed.

Good luck!

Hasan

I have also seen this as well. I saw on guy say after the interview letter he quit his job and moved to Thailand and then sent proofs to SVO and they waived the interview.

ThunderBay_vn, even though they say don't send additional proofs if I was you I'd do it anyways.

I agree with what these people are saying here. There have been several cases of people being able to waive their interviews from Singapore VO after sending in significant relationship proofs. It's definitely possible even though its hard to do so.

It definitely won't hurt to try.

Thanks! We will collect more proofs as much as we can and send them to Singapore. Which way is better to send - by mail or email?

I have one more question. Because VO Singapore sent all evidences and papers back, so if I send additional proof, should they store it in somewhere or they just review and shred it??? In the interview letter, they said my application has been completed and my file has been placed in their interview queue. What does "completed" mean in my case? Does it mean they will not review or process anymore?

I am not an expert on that by any means but I think it means that they won't do the CRIM/SEC until the eligibility is decided and so because they want an interview the rest of the application is on hold pending outcome of the interview.

Maybe someone senior can provide a better explanation.

When I sent additional proof I sent it by both mail and email.

What and how much evidence did you send originally?

I read something about that but I don't remember where but it was saying that crim/sec was put on hold when they request an interview.

I sent them our photos (trips, wedding,...), my air plane tickets, our chat logs. Do you know what else we can send more next? How about you, ImABule?

I think you're right about 'completed' meaning on that letter. They will not do the CRIM/SEC until the eligibility is decided. That's why many applicants are asked police certificates and re-/medical exam before/after interview happens

I sent them 75 pages of screenshots of whatsapp calls showing us calling multiple times a day, 80 pages of screenshots of chats, printed chat logs, photos of visits, wedding, reception, honeymoon. Screenshots of my wife talking to my mom and daughter on video as well as with me, joint credit card statement, my cra account showing her as my wife, letters of support from my parents, her parents, her brother, my ex, and a mutual friend, all passport stamps and boarding passes, hotel reciepts, restaurant receipts, shopping receipts, 16 pages of western union money transfers, postcards sent to each other and to my friends and family from both of us in Indonesia, photos of birthday card and gift sent to my daughter from my wife, about 30 pages of public interaction on FB between us showing friends liking and commenting, relationship timeline and statements from both of us, reciepts from wedding photographer and the food for the reception, reciepts and tickets from activities together, and like all non Muslim men who marry in Indonesia I was required convert to Islam to marry my wife (interfaith marriage is not legal in Indonesia) which also meant they required me to be circumcised in order to be accepted as Muslim and marry my wife which I did in an Indonesian village. I also provided the reciept from the clinic that did it.

We also identified and attacked all of the potential red flags in our application and explained them very well.

For example the conversion, we explained neither of us are religious and we considered eloping abroad to avoid the conversion, and necessary procedure that came with it lol, but ultimately decided that her family's approval and attendance at our wedding was more important.

Oh and after we married we applied for a study permit and my parents showed a large amount of money and offered to pay her tuition and wrote a letter of invitation. It was denied but we also included that as relationship proof.

I like what you did with the Facebook screenshots showing your friends liking and commenting your posts. That's what I did too. It's great to show CIC that even your friends are aware of the relationship. Your app looks really good so far and you seem you've done a great job addressing the red flags. Hope you keep me and the rest of us in touch about your progress, Imabule.

Wow! You did prepare so well for all your evidences! I'm so jelous and know why my case has been placed in interview list! I think they will send you PPR soon

Thank you for your sharing, we will organize and send more proofs. We're going to ask our parents/siblings/friends write some support letters and screenshots of all chat logs recently. And the most imporant part is looking any notes on my coming GCMS

Thanks again ImABlue! I'm appricated that
