i m so upset :(.....Singapore received my application on 15th November 2010. My e-cas status was changed to "medical received...." then it changed to "application received ". And that's it......No changes till now. But some of you guys who filed their applications on the same date as me have already been asked for passport. I don't understand what is wrong with my application. It does not even show "in process". Please if anybody can help....!!

Thanks in advance.... Anyways happy for you guys who have already submitted their passports.

I'm sorry to hear that. It does seem like Singapore doesn't have their shit together. :/ I hope we get a fast approval.

mate , hang on there, they say it takes around 20 months, yours is only 9 months. based on the documents and proofs of relationship some applications take less some take more time. dont be upset, keep on praying, wish u luck

I understand varying processing times, but when the the applications BEGIN processing at times that aren't based on a linear, first come first serve timeline, then it bothers me. This is guys is months ahead of me but me changed to "in process" a month ago and his still hasn't.

He all,

Today I emailed spore and they replied. They said that they sent a letter requesting new medical and documents. I wonder what the documents could be? Anyways my wife and I have waited a very long time, I hope we are nearing the end.

Just wanted to share some news coming from Singapore office.

Application received March 26, 2010.

Started processing application on May 19, 2010.

Sent me a letter on May 19, 2010 about the decision on my application.

Started processing my wife's application on June 1, 2010.

Date on letter issued to undergo interview=March 31,2011.

Interview held on May 24th ,2011

Received Medical Examination Instructions about almost 2 weeks later

Been asked for CASE STATUS/ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS REQUIRED (ONLY GOOD CONDUCT OR POLICE CERTIFICATE)sending to Singapore in 2-3 days

In the request for new med letter, do they set the date for the medical or do we contact IOM and set a date with IOM. So they asked for an updated police certificate?

Thanks

Usually for the medicals, you find the liscneced doctor stated by immigration (for your area) and then go see him yourself, whenever you plan to. The sooner the better. Thenm the doctor sends the medical to Singapore himself.

All these stories about such long wait times are frightening. I'm getting really worried now. At first I thought I would get through soon like so many others within my timeframe (8 months ish). But now after hearing about all these cases that really do seem to take 20 months I'm getting scared. I don't know if I can handle another year of waiting.... :(

ALSO, sovo, what is this in your signature about a DNA TEST? fOR A SPOUSAL APPLICATION? wHAT IS GOING ON! :o

The DNA test was requested to verify parenthood relationship. My wife was pregnant during the process so they made us wait until my daughter was born to request DNA. They had doubts about the relationship because I married a farmer while I had a masters degree.

Right. Ok I understand the waiting then. :/ I hope it goes through quickly now for you. AND me! :D

I've sent emails in the past similar to yours, the only email that they've answered me is when i asked them why they havent checked our documents at the interview, yes i believe they read them!

lenardparnold is right!
Thats exactly the way it went for us!

Just call the designated medical practitionner in your area such as suggested in the 4th page of the letter u or ur spouse received about medical instructions by the V-O,
ususally it would be IOM,my wife drove there to take appointment.. All the best
