Hey guys, we got what I think may be good news, but want to know what you think.

We got a letter requesting that we redo medical and police certificate and also send passport and photos. I am glad we are moving forward. However, in ecas we still just have "application received," and from looking online, including this forum, I think that this is not a passport request for issuing the visa, bit some kind of other request. We also have to strangely wait six weeks after the medical examination is done but not wait more than 60 days to send everything.

Anyone have any ideas about what this means and whether we might get the visa soon?

Also, just a tip, we got this right after I sent in an email asking why I never got a UCI. I guess maybe I woke someone up with the inquiry. Of course it could just be a coincidence.

Hi Cdnmom, ur case was in process in Nov 4? Did u receive any mail/email from them for re-medical or passport? Mine is in Nov 12, and have not received anything yet...hopefully next week.

We have not received any emails in regards to remed or passport request

Our medical was done Nov 15th, 2012... so hopefully they will extend it

Don't know if we will have to provide a Canadian Police clearance as applicant has been in Canada since Jan 31st

Sorry one more question... you said you got a letter... was it by regular mail or email??

I also intend to order another set of notes. The first note I also got "recommend passed" under Eligibilities. So, even Ecas is changed to in process, we still need to wait at least another 3-6months until getting visa :-(. That sounds sad because I would like so much to go back w my hubby this March...Hate the feelings at the airport where one goes and one stays. Gud thing for u guys that can be together in Canada.

My wife was here since january this year and they send us a e-mail in august asking us to get a police clearance from the RCMP because she was here for
more then 6 months, we got it from them.... https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/national/service/individual/fingerprinting. We still waiting for news from Singapore...

Hi all, hope you are having a good weekend. I'm glad to hear that we might be close, although we're still holding in our happiness until we see what happens next. I don't know if we will need to have an interview and how long the next step of the process will take, but am crossing my fingers for the best. I hope everyone else will have a lucky week too.

Cdnmom, thanks for the info, I thought it might be difficult. I probably will mail everything and then try to drop by to ask about the application, it seems bugging them a bit gets things moving as long as you don't overdo it. Maybe I can even talk to a real human being! Also, if my wife still would have to do an interview, maybe she can come with me and do it then, although I don't know if they allow that sort of thing. We did our original medical at the beginning of November 2012, although I don't remember exactly when. Did you do yours roughly the same time? I guess they ask for us to do the re-medical and wait so that the results get to them before the rest of our documents and then they can process things fast, or at least that's what I hope! We got an email but no mail. Again, in Bali, mail is very unpredictable and could turn up months late or never, so not sure if a letter is coming too.

Hoahager, we heard nothing at all for so long, and then this all of a sudden. but it seems like lots of December 2012 applicants are getting good news. I think you and Cdnmom are sure to have good news soon. Littestar I hope you get your PPR very soon, and especially before March. Would it help to send an email mentioning it? I don't know, but also maybe after the strike they're moving faster and you'll be lucky soon!

Hi littlestar, my application was filed shortly before yours and I went in process on the 13 I believe it was. No word yet either. I think we have the same vo. Let me know if you heart anything and I will do the same.

So my wife got a huge package today by mail from sinapore...

As she at work now she couldnt go through it....but all i know is her parents who opened the package mentioned they sent all the proof's back and instructed for re medical

I dont know whether it has passport request also..but i will tell her to check when she goes home
