Application assigned to is the VO who is gona do the final review........as u mentioned that ur application is waiting for final review...it shoulnt be empty then...

depending on the VO...u can know how long the final review might take......my wife application is waiting for final review for almost 13 months......

I received my GCMS note last week. It's empty too in my spouses file.

Due date:

Initial review was done on June 26 th. Notes says no restriction, Recommend WAV.
By reading all info looks like my file is sitting in "Registry - REV" location. Waiting to be assigned a VO for final review for Eligibility.

is this your first GCMS note Fortune89. I got my first GCMS on last month and it is also in Registry - REV but under Eligibility section where it says recomm wav, i see assigned to and assign by, which are not empty. and it seems to be assign by a Canadian officer from Mississauga??

are u looking under the same section for Assigned to and Assigned By. Look at the top heading underlined and then sub heading. Please be specific where you guys are getting this info from GCMS.

We are talking about application assignment section in page 2. The section you may be looking is for initial eligibility review section. That is all taken care of by a visa officer. Now file is sitting idle & waiting to be assigned for next visa officer for final eligibility review. Looks like to pass eligibility is a more than 1 step process.

according to my gcms notes..after it went throught initial review the file was transfered to registry-rev on september 2012..then the file was assigned to the final visa officer on october 2012 for final review and decision...

the file has been sitting there ever since....i ordered couple of more gcms notes..recently..but no updates on the notes...so it means it sitting there...

fyi..my file reached singapore june 18th 2012..so its been 16.5 months...

to be honest i think some visa officer takes advantage of the full processing timeline..and some just gets the file and processes it... which is the only theory i can come up with now...

cause i have seen people with the same visa officer i have are on the same boat as me....

where as i have seen some ppl getting ppr and stuff... had diffrnt visa officers...

But i also did notice some people with the same visa officer as mine got ppr after almost. 22 to 23 months ( from when the file reached singapore)

Go passed the section of the medicals... You should see the section called Party Details... then ELIGIBILITY...
check in this section ... this is where we see who the application has been assigned to and the due date

My sister went and spoke to her local MP in Toronto about these delays of immigration and stuff. The MP's answer gave rise to a different type of concern. He said it is not the fault of the VO's at the high commissions. Whenever they send request to collect and verify information regarding anything in Bangladesh, Pakistan or places like that, it takes forever for the officials in those countries to respond to the Canadian High commissions quarries. If that is the case then it's really really sad. It might not be the cause of delay but the existence of this possibily is making me very angry and frustrated. What you guys think?

We contacted or MP's office...
Nothing new to report from what is in the GCMS notes
They told us to follow up in the new year...
At least they didn't tell us ... you haven't passed the 26 month processing time
Now we wait to see if anything happens with our file
