Cant believe what just happened... Got a call here in my mobile from singapore visa office. they told since i gave my canadian mobile number in application so they are calling me to tell that my wifes visa processing has been finalized and they need her passport. They also sent an email they told and i just checked it and i did receive the passport request.

But the passport request letter has no applicant name or file number. In the attached pdf letter said need to send the passport to Singapore address. Did others get same letter without applicant name and file number?? I thought we just cannot send passport through any courier outside country.

Ecas went " In Process" on Jan 21st, so pretty much one and half months after in process get PPR.

Congrats to everyone who got PPR request and to those who already got done through the process.

I am really excited to see to there is so much progress being made in the SVO this year. Hopefully we will all be getting our requests this year as well

we mailed my husbands passport to Singapore office yesterday! they should get it on Monday. it's getting so close....
all those who have also got PPR request fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for them to issue our visas!!!!

anyone did their medicals in Singapore for spousal sponsorship?

I have talked to the hospital and they say they will just give me a receipt and they will send the medical results to manila?!?!

Anyone can give advice here?

yes everything is done, am tension free now lol. I went to toronto yesterday ,they had consular service, so i got her no visa required stamp done same day.. ouff lol for 2 weeks i have been running everywhere for her passport stuff lol. We are flying after couple of days,the last time i went was last may.
now just waiting my husband passport request and his visa to return back here..

I already sent my application to CIC to sponsor my wife under Family Sponsorship and still waiting from Singapore Visa Office. I am planning to go back Vietnam to see my wife in this July because I can not wait no more longer to see my wife.

This is my time line.

CIC Received my application: November 16, 2012
Received Approval Sponsorship Letter: December 07, 2013 (On Online Status show: "Sponsorship Application Status: Decision Made") (Forwarded to Singapore Visa Office)
Singapore Visa Office Received application: December 20, 2012
And now showing: Sponsorship Application Status "Process", Permanent Residence Application Status "Application Received"

Anyone has any ideas about my application, and what does it mean to change from "Decision Made" to "Process"?.

You can follow the thread below for Vietnam sponsorship. Each case is different. My wife's case was straight forward and it still took 17 months from start to finish. Hope this help you.

As we know that there is a change in spousal sponsorship application rule since October 25, 2012. Does anybody know if this new rule has made the processing time any faster(or slower!)?

Our application was received on February 8, 2013 and file was forwarded to Singapore on February 21, 2013. And as of today, the online application status is 'application recieved'.
