Anyone get any news from Singapore? I am ready to pack and go back to Canada with my wife and brother in law .
My friend who did interview and keep passport no news from SGN. Only goes in process since Mars 7 and no news. Look like SGN VO is in break. I wish everyone get positive news. I wish all good luck. Will be back to Canada Apr 3.

got ppr last 27-mar-11
will get sing police clearance monday and send pp asap
but in dilemna since going for US business trip for a couple of months.
hopefully visa gets stamp before traveling.

Have you already been interviewed in nine months? You are very lucky and that was pretty quick compared to alibaba_ctg and some other forum members who have already waited about a year and now they find out that he will have to wait one more year just to have a interview date (very sad).

Did you show any Joint Bank Account with your spouse on your application or any joint insurance plan or any other financial committments? Thanks.

Yes, my wife's interview was back in January. And yeah have been somewhat fortunate to have already had our interview. That is mainly because we were on the interview que for Thailand whereas many people on this thread are on it for Bangladesh which seems to be longer. I have been in contact with 3 other people who had their interviews here in Thailand the same week we did and all of them have already seen "Decision Made" on their ECAS and one of them already received a refusal letter. The other 2 have had "Decision Made" for about 2 weeks now but have not received anything from Singapore. I hope that my wife's file still being "In Process" is a good sign when hearing about these other cases but am still very nervous about it.

As for joint bank accounts no we did not have one at the time we submitted our application. The only insurance "plan" I we have so far would be my traveler's insurance which she can claim if I die I guess lol. We don't exactly have much money yet anyway

Did they request passport yet to ur wife?the other people that you know, did it show in process ever or just jumped to decision made?maybe decision made before in process is a bad sign tho.Hopefully ull get a call soon requesting passport, best of luck

No they haven't requested passport. That is what we are hoping will come next though.

And yes I believe that getting "Decision Made" before hearing anything back from Singapore would most likely mean a refusal. 2 of the cases I mentioned that are still waiting for word back from Singapore had their ECAS go "In Process" for about 2 weeks before seeing "Decision Made" and the 3rd one went from "Application Received" to "Decision Made" extremely quickly (about a month after interview) without ever going "In Process" and they got a refusal letter about 2 weeks after the "Decision Made" status. From what I have seen for people on here who have gotten the visa, it seems that for positive outcome cases the ECAS only changes to "Decision Made" once they have already submitted their passport.

It's so scary checking the ECAS everyday now. Every time we log in our hearts stop thinking ours might say "Decision Made" before ever hearing anything back from them.

I read all 60 pages of OP2 it gives a good idea of what the look for in the interview. The different criteria etc. Very good knowledge to have. I wish I had it 2 years ago. lol When you get married you don't think about all the details they want.

You are right, if decision is made without any request is definetely bad news. Since you is in process for almost 3months i would say that they sent you letter to send passport or soon sending it. I am hoping for the best, keep us updated. : Now days i dont even bother looking ecas, cuz for over a year is on application received, before i used to check every single day atleast twice. I dont think its gonna change until after the interview..

You are so right! i didnt make any research before applying also didnt think that it would be a challenge to go through the process without sending sufficent proofs. I feel so guilty , but now theres nothing i can change about it. what is OP2?

I wish the process of pr visa change. They should ask the sponsor and the sponsored person to send MORE PROOFS before they request an interview. So if after the additional proofs it doesnt make them confy about the genuinity of the marriage THEN ASK FOr INTErvIEW.. :-\ I WISH I COULD SEND THEm THOUSANDS OF PROOFS I HAVE now that i didnt send with the application....and more coming in few weeks.. :'(
