What is your husband Permanent Resident Application status? Is it take so long to approve you as a sponsor?

@ Mirjahan

Yes, it did take so long to get approval. Actually I had to make some calls and finally got the answer. The lady I had spoken to informed me that they were checking part of my work history. But I am happy that finally they have made the decision. My husband's status just shows two lines: Line 1 : AOR on November ,2012 and line 2 : "Medical results has been received". We are waiting for further contact from Singapore.

Application Status - Decision made

@ mirjahan

Please take a look at this link <https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_fam&lang=en&app=ecas>. My husband's online status shows that his medical results have been received. Some other applicants on the forum have mentioned that if you see "Medical Results have been received" without seeing "In Process" stage, it means that you have skipped "In Process" stage and moved on to "Decision Made" stage which is the second last stage of the application process. What's your opinion on this Mirjahan? Thanks.

Should he apply for a visit visa ?

Did any of you apply for a visit visa while your application for premanent residence was under processing? We got married in April, 2011 and our first wedding anniversary is almost there. My husband wants to visit me on the anniversary. I want him to come too but then we are worried if this will have any negative effect on his application for permanent residence in any way. I was wondering if he should apply for a TRV at this point. What is his chance of getting a visa? Any suggestions ? Thanks.

I don't have much experience on this topic, but you probably right. Friend of mine had the same status as your( medical has been recieved) in first stage and he got approved within four months from singapore which is superfast. Hope it happens for you. I dont want anyone goes through same situation as some of us going through( interview letter without date). To answer your another question about TRV , which is very good idea, and has no negative impact on your other file. Make sure you provide enough proof and other supporting documents that he will go back and no intention to stay here illegally. Chance is slim but you never know unless you try. Wish you good luck :), I hope Mirjahan will give expert opinion on that ,but i just wanted to share my experience if it helps.

Is your husband address disappear? If medical result disappear within 2 weeks then it is in first stage if doesn't disappear mean could be a good sign then wait see what's bring next.

Hi,

I also applied for a TRV in December. And i also show the cause to celebrate my marriage anniversay. But they refuse me. If your husband is a high professional or businessman that he will come back here then may be there are a chance. Also before open file in SG apply for a TRV has no chance.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I hope you are right and thanks for your wishes. With regard to a TRV, we can't make up our mind but if we do apply, I will keep you posted about the outcome.

No, his online status page does not show his address at all at the moment; we can see his name only and there is no address.

This is how we see it : Client application status > His name > Permanent residence application status > Application received > We received your application for permanent residence in Nov, 2011 and then it says "Medical results have been received". I hope and pray that this does not disappear. Thanks.

Hi Aforsebd2002,
Thanks for this piece of valuable information. I feel very sorry for what happened to you and I can realize how you feel being apart from your family. We all are in the same boat. Seeing what happened to you, we are not sure if we would apply for his TRV. SVO did receive his application for PR and medical results but considering what you have experienced, we are not sure if we would apply. Thanks and my best wishes for you. Hope you get some very good news soon.

They do not send to the sponsored person any acknowledment letter, they send to the sponsor from Missisauga that the app is sent to Singapore ONLY.

Once Singapore received the application its gonna show on ecas ''Application received'' so you know they have it.
