Hi All,
I am new to the forum and sent our sponsorship application to CPC-M on Feb 3, 2012. The details of my application are as follows:
I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my Thai wife. The application is being represented by a law firm in the Toronto area.
My wife is 35 years old and I am 35 years old, and we met online in April 2011. Thus far I have visited her three times in Thailand. My family and her family have met for our wedding, and we have ample documentation proving our relationship via chat logs, money transfer receipts, insurance benificiary forms, photographs of trips we have taken together, letters of support from her family and mine, etc.etc.
Just wanting to know if anyone on here has submitted a spousal sponsorship application through Singapore VO in roughly the same timeframe as us? The CIC website states a current wait time of approx. 22 months for 80% of cases. However, I've also read on data.gc.ca that roughly 20% of cases are processed to completion in 6 months or less so there is some hope. Since we have not been married that long and our relationship is relatively new, I'm preparing for a long wait while hoping that I fall into the 20% category.
